Thanks a lot for the advice. I just got back from a really deep message sponsored by my on-campus Christian fellowship, and there was something in the message that really tied into what was making me upset the other day, and I got the opportunity to just sit and talk with my Bible study leader and just release any built up tension I still had.
Your advice as well was also helpful as a refreshing reminder, so thank you. : )

Do you have some thing your upset about and no way to vent it? Well you should talk to God 1st and then me. If you wish? Unless you ask me I will not try to solve your issue. What I can provied is some one that can lislen and pray for you. I have about 56 years of life exp. and maybe I can share that with you. Love problem (I was dump ones ), Mom and Dad issues (been on both sides of that ) and many more. Some times you just want some one to lislen.

What would you do if you had a cousin that was blind to their own sin and they wouldn't change their path even if they knew it was full of destruction? And they wouldn't listen to your advice because they would rather have fun and be with hot guys, get drunk, and party all night than listen to your boring lecture and follow God's plan for their life???? WHAT THEN?!?!?!? >.<

...stupid cousin

I am afrad she is going to have to learn the hard way. Is she a Christan? If yes, God will take care of it but, pray for her and let her know that you are. If no, still pray for her and her salvation. Continue to live your life as Christan, modle for her to see (dont be showy as I am better than you). Your exp. will speak loader than any words you can say and if you continue to preach to her, she will just shut you out of her life. Wait for her to ask for help and be aways ready to help her. BUT, most of all pray.

Haha, I just want to make a comment, I didn't experience this until I was a christian, so going into it i kinda new the party scene wasn't right, but its the acceptance of others, and enjoying another's company, we are stupid and do not realize there are alternatitives i.e. bible studys, i dont know how many of ya went to a home bible study, depending on the people, it could be the most fun you have ever had in your life, she seems to be accepting theres no alternative, as I sort of did, I thought no way I would have any friends, unless I bended to their expectations, but now I haven't talked to those blasted heathens and I havn't touched the sauce since the beginning of the year. But ya secular people suck...

I used to be like your cousin (minus the hot guys part) I was a drinker/smoker/drug user before I was saved. It made me "cool" and I had lots of friends for it (read my testimony if you would like to hear more of the story about me, it's in the testimonies thread) I am sad to say, but sometimes it takes being broken by our sin before we change. I didn't change until my sin was ruining my life and I had to either quit and loose friends, or keep doing it and suffer the consequences. I quit and I don't regret it. But sometimes it takes us being brought to the very very bottom of life before we choose to accept Jesus and rise to the top.

Slow to anger;

I recently read things from a user, and I know that they are offensive if not just me, others as well. But I am almost enraged at I hate to use the word "stupidity" but rather don't care to see anothers veiws so shut off from the world that they attack in a debate insted of discussing it properly, like you have wronged them in some way, I speak in generalities no one person comes to mind, but I get this alot and as the bible says be slow to anger: "He who is slow to anger has great understanding, But he who is quick-tempered exalts folly" (Proverbs 14:29) I wish the best for people generally but in moments like these where I am not met half way let alone at the door, I find it very difficult not only to be understanding and loving, but rather the oposite I wish to dismiss them and attack their faith, now I was raised better than that, so I don't and I let it slide, but in the back of my mind comes these feelings of anger, that they need to be taught a lesson, and half the time i wish that God would will show them their folly, but the other half I stir for a couple hours on this and it bothers me. So I pose to you, however short my anger holds me, it still persists, what should I do.

In my case the slow is the problem. I have what you would call a hold and flash anger. Meaning that I will let many issues that anger me pile up, while suppressing them untill the point of no return. Then is it is BAM (*$&^@$**) and its over. I have vented it but the damage I cause to me and others is NOT GOOD. NOW after informing you of this. I have to report that was then as in about 10 years ago. With God's help and relizing the damage I have caused to my life (as well as my Chistan life seen by others) and others lifes. I prayed and prayed again for help with or taking a way of this problem but, I would always pick the problem back up when I got up from praying. It took a very very very bad BAM to make me finaly lay it down and not pick it up. God then found me a help that removed the problem of my anger. That help is not for every one and I do not wish to revele it here. But, what I want to say is PRAY and then leave the problem with God. Dont pick it back up! PRAY and LEAVE BEFORE GOD.

Ah, your a wise man sir. Yes, yet again the answer is prayer, it is always the answer yet, always overlooked. I will take head to all you have said. Thankfully God has blessed me with a kind heart so my anger fades quicker than normal, but I just have to pull the first half of the equation before the Lord. Thanks, I will pray and sleep on this matter.
