When you have recived a moderate level of respect from the community is one way to loose the status of (new member = newbie/newb) newb.

If you continually use correct english, grammar, and punctuation in the CR community, you are and probably never were a newb.

Being calm, cool, and patient about things instantly prooves you are no newb.

Helping the community with several supportive topics, stopping spam topics, spam, or any annoyances pretty much discludes you as a newb as well.

I think you're good to go if you follow at least one of those.

BLAH, sorry. I accidentally posted guidelines to no longer being a newb at CR.

Being a newb at anime basically means you are one of these at least:

1. A dub anime ONLY watch
2. Toonami worshiper
3. Inuyasha idiot
4. Narutard
5. You know what I mean by now.

To avoid this:

1. You must have at least a common knowledge of subbed anime
2. Have watched more than NARUTO, Bleach, or Inuyasha.
3. Common knowledge of anime in general, what is good, and what is uberly overrated and actually sucks. A lot.

If you fit into one of those three, you are considered by my standards, no longer a new-watcher of anime.

oh good, then i am not a narutard after all, because i have seen a LOT of things besides naruto....

yeah, i think that thread gave me the idea for this one. i have another question for people , if you know a lot about anime, but don't go on the net frequently, are you a noob?

(not talking about me by the way, just in general)

Jeez...That one dude took a hell of a beating for the Noob thing he said...Meh...This is the reason why the fandom stuff makes me mad, the older fans gets mad at the younger fan for the ignorance of the topic, and starts condescend them because of their interest in the topic, but lack of knowledge, thus coining the term 'Noob' and abusing that goddamn word until it lose it already incoherent meaning. They berate the poor guy until he is too humiliated to care about the topic and leave it entirely. It's a shame really, I mean everyone starts somewhere, and if everyone else who was already experience did that shit to you, you would quit it too. I'm just saying people should stop being such a Ego-boosting Bitch by insulting the new people and help them out with the ropes a bit. Godforbid that you should treat the person like a fucken person... Christ, Anime is just fucken anime. Just fucken watch it and stop rambling about it like you own it...

I agree completely, I like Bleach and Inuyasha but I have seen a hell of a lot more than just those. And also I like dubs but not when they are done bad, for example Ranma and Inuyasha the dub is very close to the origional script, but most things are not, and in those most cases it is best to watch subs.

When they have at least one enemy and a few good friends on crunchyroll, when they have had at least 100 normal (not spam) posts on crunchyroll, when they have been here for at least three weeks, when they have watched some anime and have some fav., and when people actually recognize them.
