orange planet is in process by nagareboshi scans. skip beat is still in process but slow, recently had 2 chapter translated in english so now its up to ch 121...... dn angel, they're not scanlating!! y are they not scanlating?!?! in the end i read the chinese manga..XD... rockin heaven, AAA too...

there are many reason why manga stop releasing for a while like in claymore case the author take a break and some are drop by the translation group

i wonder what ever happened to the Vinlandsaga manga? i was really enjoying it but i havent seen a release (at least in english) for about 2 months now........it was so cool too

I don't read scanlated mangas, so I wouldn't know about those ones. But on the publishing level, I think that different stories are either kept or dropped depending on whether they can earn a profit from the continued translation of the series. That's happened to me with Desert Coral by Wataru Murayama. Its a very good manga (in my opinion) and I own all three of the english volumes that ADV translated, however I know the story continues (I almost purchased the spanish version of vol 4 on Amazon by mistake).

To the point, some really good mangas do end up getting dropped because it isn't worth the translator's time to translate something that hardly anyone's going to buy. Sad, but it's the reality of the business world.

apparently the mangaka (Sugisaki Yukiru-sensei) dropped DN Angel to work on another series(Lagoon Engine i believe). but according to the magazine that serializes DN Angel in Japan, Sugisaki-sensei has started to recontinue DN Angel as of a few months ago. but it will be a really long time before the scanlations for it will be posted online, and it will most likely be a few years before the official books will be published in the US. so dont worry, i miss DN Angel too :tears:
