Let me remind you that in order for an artist to get paid........they have to be willing to give into the demands of THE RECORD COMPANY. And trust me, you can have an emcee that will only want to release a lot of good, conscious-minded shit.........but the execs. of his record company will reject all shit until he makes a club-banger that talks about the negative shit b/c record execs. believe it will sell. And guess what (to borrow a quote from Jay Z), men lie.......women lie........numbers don't, and statistics show that by speakin about negative bullshit, people will go buy this shit. So if u want people to blame, blame the record companies........and hell, blame the ignorance of the mainstream music audience |

I mean, there are conscious artists that manage to get their shit released by major companies (Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def).........but they also get repirmanded by the companies by not meeting to the needs of the ignorant consumers, and that punishment is thru the promotion of their records. If they were one of those gangsta emcees/whack ringtone rappers, the record companies would be all over their dicks in terms of promoting their albums........even tho the quality is garbage, but the consumers love that shit, so the companies will support it. Like I said b4 about who to blame........won't repeat them again |

I agree until this point And Weezy's artistic ability is prolly fucking mediocre as well, because I tolerate all the bitches, hoes, hustlin shit...........but that man's lyrical creativity is limited. Even on some of the more conscious-minded, slow-tempo joints he makes, they are lyrically not any better than his usually club-bangers. I think he's garbage as an emcee, that don't mean I hate the muthafucka. I respect this man's hustle PERIOD. However, Lil Wayne dickriders (excluding urself, u clearly don't show that much of an obsession for him) just make it harder for me to respect this muthafucka as an artist. ARE U SERIOUS! "I be with savages, & im above average **I'm a crazy ass star like a fuckin Asterik** - who says stuff like this You nikkas cant see me im on my casper shit next 3 lines sequence of events not just random rhyme, & yes i know common could sequence & rhyme scheme WAY better than weezy but is a southern lyricist...not makin any excuses Runnin so much game i fuck around & lap a bitch And the club just like a grocery, i just bag a bitch and you know im gonna score like Deion after picks..." aye im not a dickrider...ok i may be a dickrider NO HOMO LOL |
