And guess what (to borrow a quote from Jay Z), men lie.......women lie........numbers don't, and statistics show that by speakin about negative bullshit, people will go buy this shit. So if u want people to blame, blame the record companies........and hell, blame the ignorance of the mainstream music audience

At the end of the day it's a business, it the artist does not meet the needs of the record company........that artist will never release an album EVER. I mean, there are conscious artists that manage to get their shit released by major companies (Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def).........but they also get repirmanded by the companies by not meeting to the needs of the ignorant consumers, and that punishment is thru the promotion of their records. If they were one of those gangsta emcees/whack ringtone rappers, the record companies would be all over their dicks in terms of promoting their albums........even tho the quality is garbage, but the consumers love that shit, so the companies will support it. Like I said b4 about who to blame........won't repeat them again

I agree until this point And Weezy's artistic ability is prolly fucking mediocre as well, because I tolerate all the bitches, hoes, hustlin shit...........but that man's lyrical creativity is limited. Even on some of the more conscious-minded, slow-tempo joints he makes, they are lyrically not any better than his usually club-bangers.
