My friend said that his essay question was

Is loyalty good or bad?

Kind of an undefinitive essay question.

Im taking it in May too. I have to start studying grammar cuz thats what got me on the PSAT, by far my worst subject.

Good luck on yours

The essay topic is random. Sometimes it's easier than other topics. If you've read a lot of books and news, you could use those for supporting evidence for your essay.

well just to let you know, SATIIs (subject SATs) are usually to supplement your SAT score as well as all that other crap schools look at to decide if you are worthy enough to be apart of their institution. Language SATIIs are a bit different from like math, physics, or history. I don't think it is a good idea to take one in a language that you were brought up with i.e. if you are Chinese and take Chinese, is that really an accomplishment? Also the average for language SATIIs are usually extremely high like nearly the highest score of 800. Also from what I recall Chinese is the most taken language SATII and the average score is basically 800 since many Chinese students take it...

the SAT essays' are usually stupid easy. for example when i took my first SAT(which by the way its always good to take it twice to see if you can increase your score) my essay was like, " Explain in full detail your most eventful memory of your past." You can even make up a story they dont care if its true or not they just want to see if you can write with perfect grammar and punctuation.

The essay questions are not that hard, and are usually on a pretty broad topic. The questions come with an intro, and while it isn't always necessary to read it can be helpful. Make sure to stay on topic with the essay, personal experiences are always good, but historical references are fine as well. Be sure to take the last 5-10 minutes to write a thought out conclusion, as it is usually worth a good amount of the grading points.

I'm not sure how hard any of the language tests are, but you don't have to take any previous classes in order to apply for them.

Also realize you can take the SAT multiple times, so if you don't get the scores you want the first time you can always try again.

Take the ACT also, its really easy, and if you do well, its just another reason for colleges to accept you.

The essay questions are just random questions they throw out there. Most of the time, they're a pain in the as, but every once in a while, ETS decides to be nice and gives an easy one. Good luck with that.

You don't have to take a class to take any of the SATs, but it might help if you did.

OH! And you're allowed to make shit up in the essays. Like you can make up a book, author, plot, and characters, as long as it sounds like a good piece of literature. So don't try too hard to think up past books and waste time that way.
