there are 2 types of gameplay on strategy game:
RTS real time strategy - more realistic due to player plays the game in real time.(best played for fast thinking strategist)
TBS turn base strategy - turn base systems are more like chess where player waits for their turn to move.(usually applied on tactical games handling small units) giving player unrealistic gaming experience due to the given time length to anticipate the opponents move.

Best for multiplayer and coop is ROME: Total War...
i just wish that the graphics to have more physics and details...
still lookin forward for World In Conflict...
Played RA3 ... it failed my gameplay expectations terribly...but if you like CNC Generals and Warcraft then guess you would like it

i thought the total war series was very realistic. the game system is unique and makes decisions a lot harder to make, and therefore more fun.

people avoid this game because of its "horrible graphics"
just cause this game isnt as flashy as Warcraft 3 or Red Alert 3 doesnt mean it isnt a good game.
i dont hate anyone, but u should give it a try. oh and if u go online DO NOT go on the Asia server. they will pwn u.

if it comes to popular opinion or to expert ratings, yehh StarCraft onws all the rest, its balanced. easy to play, hard to master haha, and the fact that its the most played videogame in history XD koreans have been making StarCraft leagues for 10 years, other great titles for me are Warcraft III, Rise of Nations is awesome too, Star Wars: Empire at war, and the best, lol almost as good as StarCraft: Tom Clancy's ENDWar ZOMG it owns voice commands, nuclear ammo, 20k bombs what else can u ask? not even StarCraft has more powerfull weapons XD
