warcraft 3 is the best RTS i think. not the best balanced, nor is it strategically the best, thats starcraft. but war3 is the most fun i think.
fft, disgaea, and all those arent RTS, they are TRPG. and of that genre, tactics ogre:let us cling together wins. by far.

im very picky about these games (no offense to any one k  ) warcraft 2 for me is the best
starcraft i have issues with its AI warcraft 3 was not as good as 2 no sea battles, command and conquer once again had me till generals then i got bored red alert 2 was my fave from that series and if any one wants to know more about why i picked warcraft 2 PM me ok |

Starcraft is by far the best, in my opinion. They're taking their sweet time with Starcraft 2. I think they got lazy after WoW became a huge success.
