hey
well you know how all this crap is happening with teens these days, they are just out of control doing what they please..

just 2 years under me is a completely different kind of teen, my brothers 16, he and his friends are uncontrolable, if they think they won't get caught they will do anything, they don't listen to anyone, and it's just out of hand.

Then you read all these stabbings killing murder plots etc.
I never even heard of a teen doing anything like that 2 years ago.

Since year 7 to now, i've played nothing but violent video games, and the odd sport for a season then quit lol

supposibly all these violent games are causing these psycho kids but i think they distract and release, they are spending their time playing these games, or releasing their anger killing these monsters w/e instead of killing each other...

what do you think?

there's a correlation between violent games and aggression, but one doesn't necessarily go with the other. but playing a violent video game doesn't make a person release their anger, studies show that releasing anger with aggressive acts don't make people less angry, but more likely to commit more aggressive acts. (sorry for the info overload...just got of an AP psych class )

Of course something violent can alter someone's mind. The thing is, if the person has common sense, they know they can't do said things in real life.

Violent video games can be a part of the problem, but I don't see it being the root of the problem. It also depends on the person, too.

wow thats a really stupid thing to say, its probably just your brother and his friends who are nuts and im sorry to tell you but yes when you were 16 there were still stories in the newspaper of the exact same thing your talking about, it didn't just happen in 2 years.....

violent video games dont make agression. they only pacify it by letting the person extracise it in a game. only those who dont understand that a game, in the end is only a game, will lead to a violent path

I was watching a program about this the other day, and what they found was that if you take the really violent teens then they either NEVER play video games or play a very VERY excessive amount. Other then that the studies show that violent video games do not increase violent behaviour. Although they can be an indicator, but one again it has to be very excessive amount of playing.

Cheers!
