wow thats a really stupid thing to say, its probably just your brother and his friends who are nuts and im sorry to tell you but yes when you were 16 there were still stories in the newspaper of the exact same thing your talking about, it didn't just happen in 2 years.....

Its not just his friends, everyone his age is like that, its ridiculous, i just know more about it through him. no one in my highschool was like that 2 years ago.

it has just hit my town like a hurricane, nothing was ever this bad.

.. It's just the difference between yours and your brothers personalities..
3 years ago when my sister was my age she was being a bigger shithead then me.. Maybe that's why I'm not?
Likewise.. Maybe your brother wanted to do more then play violent video games throughout his teenage years..
I think you should stop stressing out over your younger brother. -.-"
If I had an older brother doing that to me, I'd kick HIM in the balls.

hey
well you know how all this crap is happening with teens these days, they are just out of control doing what they please..

just 2 years under me is a completely different kind of teen, my brothers 16, he and his friends are uncontrolable, if they think they won't get caught they will do anything, they don't listen to anyone, and it's just out of hand.

Then you read all these stabbings killing murder plots etc.
I never even heard of a teen doing anything like that 2 years ago.

Since year 7 to now, i've played nothing but violent video games, and the odd sport for a season then quit lol

supposibly all these violent games are causing these psycho kids but i think they distract and release, they are spending their time playing these games, or releasing their anger killing these monsters w/e instead of killing each other...

what do you think?

i think your brother and his friends just need better parents... no offense to you or your parents or anything... thats just my opinion... kids are guided by their parents, its a 100% proven fact... perhaps your parents felt they guided you the right way so they have neglected your younger brother thinking "oh since YOU turned out well HE will too"... its a very very very common thing in this world which leads to many many many problems....

so instead of blaming things like games you should think about other things like society and how you were raised to be in this world....

......just a random thought...

everybody is entitled to their own opinion right?!.....

Well, you're right up to the age 6-8 (depending on the person) from then peers have an increasing influence on kids. After puberty hits parents rarely have more influence on kids then the kid's friends.

Violent video games are not the problem, its the idiots who play them and think that is reality. Its their fault for not being able to separate reality from fiction.

i don't see how killing people in video games are anything like killing someone in real life, people don't have health bars and if you stab someone they wont continue to run or fight back they'll bleed to death so how can you compare the two

Of course something violent can alter someone's mind. The thing is, if the person has common sense, they know they can't do said things in real life.

I concur to what has been said.
