And Ratman, I'm getting sick of you saying shit like "I know X (person) is in Hell because they didn't have God on their side when they died". Firstly, you are not God, you have no knowlegde of how judgment was passed. It is not for you to judge them and place them accordingly. Secondly, you have no knowledge of what went through their minds as they died. How could you know whether or not they accepted Christ before they died?

Not to mention, God defends the righteous. Even if they are the most sinful people on Earth, God defends them. Don't hand me horse shit like "If you haven't accepted Jesus, you aren't righteous". If I stand up for a smaller kid being beaten up by a larger bully and die for it, I am righteous. Even if I haven't accepted Jesus, I am righteous. It is for God alone to judge and place us accordingly. So quit your griping about acceptence of Christ and eternal damnation. You do not know what happens in all cases.

Your right I dont know if they did accepted Jesus before they died. But, given their personality and life stile, I doud it.. Hai your also right that I can not pass judgment on any one. And I do not even want to try to do so. But, as to righteousness, it says in the Bible that all our righteousness is as filty rags. You can not earn your way to Heven. The only way to Heven is thuo Jesus. Check the Bible it stats that is the only way.

I don't care what the Bible says. Righteousness is righteousness, Bible-approved or not. The Bible is not God's word. It is an interpretation of God's word by human beings.

Wow, a Christian who actually has common sense
'I don't care what the Bible says. Righteousness is righteousness, Bible-approved or not. The Bible is not God's word. It is an interpretation of God's word by human beings'
I agree completely with this, even assuming that God exists you can't take the bible seriously because it is undeniably written by mankind.

Some of it can be taken seriously. The rest is metaphoric.

And the big problem is nobody agrees which bits are metaphoric and which bits aren't lol

I see them all when I read a passage. I haven't read it all but I know what is and isn't.

Unfortunately not everyone does know the difference when they read it, if everyone could tell for sure and agree on it like you there wouldn't be so much of a problem :P

Ok I am going to have to step in here as the big bad mod. One: This tread has goen off topic "If Death Came Knocking...". Two: No personal attacks (and it not because I was one be hit, It just that there WILL BE NO personal attacks). Three: If this continues I will lock down the tread. Now this is the 56 year old man speaking > Am I Clear on this. So dont make me act my age and have to do some adult work. I much rater act like a ten year old in Jesus arms.

I know I'll go to Heaven, My Heavenly guardian guarentees it. Sometimes I stray away from my ultimate goal. Whenever I do, I feel like I fell from somewhere! It scares me. I don't want to fall, but I know that someone's holding my hand and catching me when I fall. Everything's there but sometimes when I fall, something falls into my heart and I feel burdened. It's really weird, but I guess that's a warning for me.

You tell em' Onii-chan! Sorry...

what was the question again? oh yeah..if death came knocking..i lost my thoughts as i was reading your heated discussions..you know sometimes i just wish we see each other and talk to each other in person so then we dont have to say things metaphorically and the words are understood as implied or meant so misunderstandings are avoided as much as possible...hmmm..

so......if death came knocking [which i doubt he will do]..... im going to heaven because i have received His gift of eternal life, that's it..and im going to die happy so to speak because literally that time there's nothing i can do [i can neither go back to being alive or stay behind as a wandering soul, etc.].....and most importantly, heaven is enough..more than enough...for me..i have Jesus there and i'll be forever singing praises to His name neither worrying about what i would wear to school, if i graduated, if my family has something to eat for the week, or fearing some bad people would harm me..or even checking my mail..hmmmmmmm...what a relief that would be...and i know if death came knocking it was God's time..He let it be..no one dies without His consent...and im sure He has His perfect plan..but of course, if it would be a slow death...and i could still pray to Him..naturally, a human in his right mind would want to live..so i'd ask Him to let me live if He'll still use me for His work..[..i mean winning souls was never easy...never easy...]....for a bigger purpose, why not..after all, im just a vessel to His work..^_____^ [sorry, i was babbling..kinda have this as a habit..]

so i say.....if death came knocking, it would be a sweet death..
