I'm pretty sure they did not absorb his spiritual powers. Rather, I think it's that his reiatsu and their encounter with him while he was in shinigami form that let their untapped powers surface.

272 volumes now...the latest volume was releasesd today so i guess i'll have to wait a while before it comes out. XD i really want to see it. in 271, ulquiorra survived ichigo's attack w/o a scratch and hit ichigo with a cero. ulquiorra said he's #4 so if he can pwn ichigo, then i don't really think they can survive.

umm,volumes? don't you mean chapters?

anyways, yeah, turns out ulquiorra schiffer is #4. i always thought he was #1 because , from what we've seen, it seems that aizen trusts him the most.

Nell might send him to another dimension to save Ichigo. We don't know Nell's number so we can't be sure if Nell will be a match for him.
