Well, you'll see kids doing more of the 'trunk-or-treats' in a church parking lot than kids going house to house. Which is kinda boring and no fun at all to those that dress up their houses to look amazing.

Halloween will never die...at least not until I've dressed up as every character from Alice in Wonderland and find another excuse to wear fishnet stockings.

meh don't really care? Parties side and costumes wise I dont see the college age kids ever giving it up though. Couldn't care less if the kiddos suddenly dont' want to walk around for free candy.

Part of it may, but candy companies and costume companies get their largest incomes during halloween so I doubt it will die.

That makes me a little sad... I'm having feelings of nostalgia trick or treating as a kid. I miss those days.

God I hope not - Holloween is freaking glorious! - slutty nurses, witches, cosplay ... it's like women are like "YAY a chance to dress up scantily!"

That and the free candy, fond memories, and TCM scary movie marathons leading up to the holloween day.

It seems like people are just getting lazier, When i used to trick or treat almost everybody was walking, but now people drive through the neighborhood. There will always be epic costume parties though haha

I think parents nowadays are just too protective and they feel the need to walk around for candy is useless.. I think it's a shame because I remember the fun I used to have when I ran around my road causing havoc. D: I think Halloween will slowly fade away.. It's not something that is catching on with society lately.

Halloween sucks here. Well, in my opinion it does. The weather gets pretty fucked up. There was this one time, a friend and I went trick-or-treating on halloween with snow on the ground. Winter came by early and it was freezing. My dad was with us. He stayed in the car watching us go door-to-door freezing our asses off in our costumes.

on-topic: yes. It'll slowly die off I'm sure of it. Not a lot of people go trick-or-treating anymore. Instead, they throw eggs at people's houses or celebrate the devil. Fun ay?

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. It gives me an excuse to wear whatever I want while going anywhere I want. I liked it as a kid, too. I'd get a black garbage bag and FILL IT with candy. I notice people are now a lot more wary of strangers and give less candy (I actually went trick-or-treating last year for the laughs).

Well, even if trick-or-treating dies off, the Halloween party scene is still crazy fun.
