muay boran? i heard barely anyone teaches that now since its so dangerous.. even in thailand, there are barely any instructors... who are you learning from? i wanna learn muay boran lol

currently studying muay thai and krav maga =P

dont know who started what or when lol

I think it is Muay Boran that is taught to senior students in Muay Thai. It's not that it's any more dangerous than any other art but it's that Muay Thai is easier and more profitable I believe.

To be honest, I kinda stumbled onto Muay Boran by accident. I thought myself Muay Thai from watching my friends and then figured with my inability to extend my kick high enough, I should concentrate more on my knee and elbow strikes. After a while, when I sparred with my friend, he got surprised and asked why am I using Muay Boran lol.

Remember, the only way to learn is by a certified professional instructor. You can never actually say you practice an art unless you learn it correctly.

Good luck in your training though!

it helps if your creative.. picking up things .. that's cool you stumbled into using muay thai boran hehehehehehahaha.. thumbs up,, but maybe you should learn the roots.. i remember many times around when i stumbled into someone training me showing me.. i say if you are taught by someone that knows what they're doing then you are learning.. and it can help while you're at your most necessary time OF LEARNING.. your ZONE OF PROXIMATION,.. this is the time when kids, and even adults NEED the most help to learn, and help solve problems., which helps them blossom. it happens more than once in life but is very important! It's always good to get someone..an instructor, a trainer, or even a friend to help.. but if you get someone that you are sure to teach you the MARTIAL ETHICS, AND KNOWS THE INS, AND OUTS..BY TRIAL, BY EXPERIENCE..then you got someone..
and training BY YOURSELF. You can too.. after all.. it is the INDIVIDUAL that is learning..it is to me the MOST IMPORTANT part because without you, how would you be learning.. SELF DISCOVERY MY FRIEND.. SELF DISCOVERY..

a few things I learned and is say LEARNED.. it was from my old sifu, which disappeared.. but my dad disciplinedme the MARTIAL ARTSway, and my brother who at times was very harsh.. was a streetsmart person even needed to fight in the streets to protect me.., and helps me spar.. there are some things you don't learn in the dojo.. and you gotta find for yourself.. not trying to say fight, and beat up, or get beaten.. but experience is the difference.. and in the end YOU GAIN THE EXPERIENCE. .and someday you will become someone's light to guide them.

keep on training.

shit this reminds me of NARUTO hahahaha but still it's true.. NEVER GIVE UP! BELIEVE IT!
he said before I was a ninja, I was a nobody, BUT I NEVER GAVE UP!

NOW IT'S OUR TURN

but if i had to name it.. it would be mixed martial arts.. Its hard to say what martial art I do.. I just do it!! gambatte ne kudesai
