The way I see it euthanasia is a good thing. Better to let them choose to die peacefully than suffer.
However is there is any chance at all of survival I am strongly against it.

people think it's unnatural to euthanise people, because it goes against god's will, but when you're keeping them alive artificially with machines, isn't that unnatural too?

if someone wishes to die, becvause they have a terminal disease or will be on life support for the rest of their days, they should. when you're in that situation, you're not living, you're merely existing.

there are prople with brain diseases whos bodies rot away, but their minds stay in tact. their bodies slowly deteriorate until they can't even swallow or blink, and they die. but for the entire time during that long process, they are aware of everything around them. do you really think it's okay to let people suffer like that? surely killing them swiftly is more merciful...

this should be on the extended thread... well anyway this is same with abortion and I'll give it a go... so as I've said if I was suffering from mutiliated arms and legs and blind I'd probably ask someone to hand me poison -_-

go go euthanasia!
under certain circumstances, its the smarter choice...
Who wants to pay money to keep a vegetable on life support? NO ONE! just kill them and let them go to heaven (or hell for that matter)

or if someone is gonna die anyways, better to make it non-violent

Hmmm ... I think I`m for euthanasia . One can die with dignity and less pain [ or so my teacher says ] .
If you can die when you wanted , why not ? I don`t think it`s fair for hospitals to keep you alive while your suffering when you`d rather die .

I am definitely pro....It is everybody's own choice to what he or she wants to do with their life. And if they have an incurable disease which would bring a lot of unnecessary pain with it I find it okay to say good bye to the world..

my mother died of a terminal illness. over a year before her death she chocked on food and my father was forced to resuscitate her. the remainder of her life was filled with pain and sadness so that became my fathers deepest regret. other peoples religious views shouldn't conflict with a persons own choice to decide something about their own life.

I think it depends on the choice of the person who will die. Also if you are in a vegetative state you wont mind much anyway.

the youths in asia have the right to kill whoever they want (if you got that good for you)

pro, if u have a disease that's causing u a lot of pain and u know there's no cure, then why keep living with pain.
if u're in a coma 4 like 10 years, there's probably no chance 4 u to wake up as healthy as before. and even if there is, depending on ur age ur loved ones may already be dead.

its up to the person who's suffering form the disease or watever, as u can see, some ppl would like to be killed off without suffering more pain but i, personally, would want to keep on living. as for as im concerned i onli have one life and i want to live it to the fullest until its my time (natural death), cuz for me the meaning to life is just enjoy it and fight for survival and who knos? maybe its deemed incurable today but perhaps 2moro they'll find a cure ^^
