Penguin Brothers by Ayumi Shiina!

The heroine is really strong and powerful! This story relates to friendship, fight, school-life, pshychological and so on. PenBro tells a story when a school is divided by two big and powerful gang: Black and White. Hina, the new transferred girl who has strong feels of justice is so irritated because of his first impression of the school. Those gang often fights each othere wherever they goes. Discrimination is usual for them. Then she joins the Grey group which consist with people who deny the school's system. But, being a Grey is not easy! She is always tricked by the other gang, her friends too. At last, she proclaims herself as the chief of Grey and want to reconstruct the school's system and make a revolution. With her genius friend, Koshiba, she started to fight with the chief of Black, Kaito Nishizaki the most feared by the students and teacher and White gang leader, Shou Isshiki, the student council's president and number 2 most clever in the school and told Hina that he is her old friend, although Hina can't remember who is him.

This is one of my favorite manga!!!
No doki-doki or love scene, well maybe there's a bit but not as much as other Shoujo mangas.

Wow thanks for the summary, im heading there as soon as im done here...the plot reminds me of "School X Fight" I read here in CR when the manga section was still available. Similar plot with the heroine, she fell from top class to bottom, discrimination is also present fighting etc but it was a shoujo with fluffy "doki doki" ...tnx

and here are some of the ones that I have read like that

you might want to give SchoolXFight (this one really looks like it's ganna be prettyy god even though I haven't been able to find any chapters for volume 2 yet), Love Attack (may not b the best out there but it's has it's entertaining moments), H3 or Happy Hustelen High (this one's kinda smutty but really addicting!), Special A (the lead female is pretty strong), Five (the lead is strong, smart and sweet), and Otokomae! Beads Kurabu (which i just started reading and seems pretty cute).

then you might also want to try out Tenjou Tenge and Ikku Tousen (both of which are more sienen types of manga but there are some really badass fights with strong female leads), and then History's Strongest Desipel Ken'ichi has some stong females and is really good! also th manga goes on farther than the anime if you've already seen that and have some intrest in it....

EDIT!!!!!!***** I would suggest watching the History's Strongest anime first seeing as how the manga goes farther and t would be pretty piontless to watch it after you know how it's ganna end... just a suggestion, the manga did come out first so feel free to completely ignore my suggestion

let me know if you've already read all these, I might be able to think of some other one, and also please let me know if you have any more that you've foud that you can suggest... these are the only shoujo types of manga that I can stand so I like finding new ones...

Oh shit! I can't believe that I forgot about tokyo crazy paradise!!!! it's one of my favorites.... but I guess no one thought of it since it also falls into the gender bender catagoury

H3- yes, it was s little too smutty for me but i did read it though
Special A- i love! still slow on the updates
Otokomae! Beads Kurabu- she too naive,makes her a little irritating. still like her though
Five- its so far down to ch21 boohoo
Tenjou Tenge and Ikku Tousen- maybe their just too echii for me, its more for the boys type i think.too many boob and panty shots! although i really love Maya Natsume!

I found this the other day in mangafox "Do you want to try?" its a manwha actually but the guys are HOT! The female lead was so brave that she challenged the hot leader of a bike gang from another school. This sparks his interest on her and proposed a deal...more of a favor. It seems to be so full of secrets, thats why its so interesting. Try it!

"Gakuen Ouji" - i liked this also, buts i think its just too early to label the girl as a weak heroine becasuse she's just hiding herself behind her geeky get-up. but i have a feeling she's gonna be weak. hope not!

She's like a robot for me. Not much emotions and say whatever she likes whenever. Reminds me Summer Glau in the Terminator series. But she's not that weak either...
