Hana Yori Dango :
(Tsukushi Makino)- strong punch, tough, sometimes a little dumb, and she is just like her name (a weed)

Ore-sama Teacher:
(Mafuyu Kurosaki)- she is hilarious, manly (she is trying to become a girly girl), and really strong. Very strong belief in justice.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama:
(Misaki Ayuzawa)- She is always working hard and she is really funny. Also super strong and believes all guys are pigs.

T_T Ha Ji Kang From Hot blooded Woman

She's strong (physically) and the best part she's smart Though she likes to play the dense
She's just so....perfect....WHY HAVEN'T YOU READ IT!?!?
O_O' Sorry didn't meant to snap....

Most of Hwang Mi Ri heroines are strong. She doesn't like to make the typical "strong" females like they so love to do.

There are others it's just so happen I can't think of any more...Darn it ...everytime I think of Hwang work first I forget every thing else

Hmmmmm....collecting shoujo mangas with strong heroines is what I do!
(some of these will probably repeat what has already been said)

The thing is that there are different ways to be strong, but the strength that I think most people are looking for is a strength of character. As such I have grouped similar strong characters below (although several of them would fit into more than one category):

These ladies aren't afraid to fight back:
Dengeki Daisy - hehe, one of my favourite heroines whose tongue is as sharp as her mind is. Sarcasm is her weapon and she is not afraid to use it.
Destiny's Hand - a little pirate story with a female who is not afraid to fight or to take the lead
Oresama Teacher - a cheery optimistic little heroine who has strong fists and a strong sense of justice
Skip Beat! - for her revenge is a dish best served by totally rocking as a heroine (^.^)
The One - her parents and grandparents died, now she has to face the harsh realities of the modelling world, but she will win!
The Prince's Cactus - she won't give an inch to a rich and spoiled prince
Tokyo Crazy Paradise - this heroine seems to be a little dense, but is actually a natural leader who knows how to fight real well!

These ladies aren't easily shaken:
Full House Kiss - her parents died and her sister eloped, now she is on her own living with a bunch of men and posing as a teacher - but she does it so gracefully!
Fly High! - she was trained to be a man but her mom wants her to be a women, now in her new school she is getting bullied. how will she repond?
Grand Sun - this bodyguard has to deal with a bunch of crazy stunts, but she has pride in her work
Shiwase Kissa Sanchoume - this little cute heroine packs a bundle of strength in her tiny form and her outlook on life is as encouraging to the reader as it is to the characters in the story
Tenshi Ja Nai!! - stubborn is a good word to describe this heroine, but it is what helps her handle the news that her female roomate is actually a male.

These ladies aren't ashamed of who they are:
1/2 Prince - she is a he in the gaming world and enjoys the freedom this gives her to be herself!
Akagami no Shirayki Hime - this red-headed pharmacist has to deal with being an anomally in the royal palace
Rockin Heaven - she is a transfer student in a classroom full of lousy boys, but that won't stop her from being herself
Switch Girl! - she might diguise herself at school so she won't be bullied, but apart from school she is quite happy about being her sloppy geeky self
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - you won't find another heroine who is happier with the dark arts than she is. Also known as the Wallflower or Perfect Girl Evolution.
Crossroad - she is living with her siblings without parents, but with her pride!
Hanatsukihime - although she lives with the sign of a devil on her chest, she is not ashamed, but rather grateful for the chance to be alive

These ladies aren't afraid to speak their minds:
Ojousama wo Oyomesama - she is a rich ojou who knows no limit to her idealism and bluntness
Shugo Chara - cool and spicy indeed, especially when she's embarrassed
Sukitte Ii na yo - she is blunt and she doesn't like to lie to herself either
Warau Kanokosama - although she likes to be alone, this observer of people uses her tongue and wits to bring justice
Watashi ni xx Shinasai! - she switches the gender roles by taking charge of the romantic relationship and commanding the boy around!
Vitamin - the heroine starts out weak in this manga, but then goes through a journey of change that helps her stand up to those who bully her.

These ladies always strive to bring out the best qualities in both themselves and others:
Ageha 100% - through her makeup skills this heroine wants every person to bring out their inner beauty
Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! - this student president won't give up fighting for the pride of her school, or for herself
Beauty Pop - this unshakeable heroine uses her haircutting abilities to bring out the true beauty and personality of others
Magical x Miracle - this apprentice wizard won't stop at working to improve her skill, no matter what others say
Penguin Revolution - this heroine is thrown into a rather awkward gender bender situation as a manager in an all-male company, but she is going to do a good job at this and support her actor!

These ladies seem to have a natural leadership ability:
Ah! Itoshi Banchousama - this young girl quite accidently finds herself as a gang-leader for her school, and the number of her minions keep growing.
Wild Ones - she didn't ask to be the ojou of the yazuka, but somehow she manages just fine when push comes to shove
Apthocarius Argentum - the princess eventually will have to choose whether to demand the attention of the person she loves, or to become a capable ruler for the kingdom. She is currently becoming a ruler we can be proud of.
Faster that a Kiss - she has a strong sense of justice and will sacrifice herself for the sake of others, particularly for her dear little brother.
Basara - she takes on the role of her brother and ends up leading a revolution that will transform her nation
Kimi Wa Petto - this woman is advancing in her job and taking care of a young man, although she often acts more confident than she feels.

So, this is by no means a complete list, but it does have a lot of really good mangas listed. So I hope you enjoy!

whoa! sugoi!!! Image tnx ne! (copied and pasted lol)

tnx to everyone i have found great titles to waste my time on hhehe im far too lazy to check out shoujo lists and this just made things easier (4me and everyone else) Image

i have only known about dengeki daisy through here (its one of the most mentioned manga in here), its so hilarious! i really liked Motomi Kyouske's beast master and other works (although the story being short was quite disappointing) and at least dengeki daisy has more chaps.but the wait is sometimes agonizing for on-going manga's like this one...

i read many of the recommendations in here (manwha/manga), hope u can post more as well as new releases my fellow otakus! hehe

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. Maron is strong AND smart! Arina Tanemura is definitely a feminist. None of her heroines are too bad...although Haine's stupidity is less than desirable, all her other girls are great!
