definitely! kyoko's no weakling

Woahh i didn't know any other people knew about this manga~!

I think the heroine Shuurei from Saiunkoku Monogatari (the light novels and the anime) is probably the best character I've seen so far. She's got ambition, works incredibly hard to attain what status she has in a male dominated society, isn't afraid to get her hands dirty and while not a fighter (that's what the bishonen in the series are for), she has an intellect that is not only sharp and sees situations for what they are and chan solve incredibly tricky political and social problems, but is willing to put her life on the line for an Emperor who many would like to see under their thumb and influence. Not only does she act as his conscience, she also acts as his professional butt-kicker, keeping him on the straight and narrow with regard to his actions and the intrigues surrounding him and his few loyal friends. She refuses to take they easy way out with any of it. The writer of the light novels really outdid herself when she created this character. I can see her as a real person, instead of an assemblage of anime or manga cliches.

1. akagami no shirayukihime ( a young girl named snow white born with apple red hair shes a very mentally strong girl and she keeps her head held high. she doenst rely on others to much and shes very kind the story is amazing also!)

2.watashi ni xx shinasai!! (ok i have to say in this manga this herione is probably the best ive ever seen!!! (>.<) she doesnt show emotion shes freakin sexy as hell! and she doesnt show emotion or looked attached to the male characters she is commanding, nnot in an obnoxiouse way though and she is feared by other students of the school!)

Hatenkou Yuugi (also known as Dazzle)- the main girl is just effortlessly cool and hilarious. BEST heroine ive ever read about. Plus she can kick ass.
Beauty Pop- She doesnt fight, there's no action, but she got a really indifferent attitude and its really refreshing.
Oresama teacher- she's SO funny...

I read ones like Special A and Kaichou wa Maid sama, and they started of okay (not keen on brash characters that always appear to be angry..) but they turned really soppy later on which I didnt like...

oh gosh i recommend you to read 'dengeki daisy" the heroine is so, so awesome. Teru is the perfect girl for you. she has her admirable commonsense and she's not easily trick by the enemy even when she's threathen, she doesn't act stupidly,,,
