humans are not evil, it's just difference of interest.

this is like asking what's good and what's bad. there's no good and bad. nor there's an obelisk in the sky that tells you what's good or bad.

every human being have gone through a process that anthropologists call enculturalization, morals are defined in culture (enculturalization is the process which we install culture into the new borns, which means it's the installation of morality and many other views that belongs to our culture), and morals are not universal. therefore what we perceive as evil does not apply to every human being.

if you think evil resides in the level of "deception", then how do you explain those who dislike to tell lies? what about the honest merchants? the truthful politicians? your best friends?

through comparison and contrast our culture is able to identify, or at least provide a benchmark of "evil". however, this benchmark is not universal. it's just ignorant to say "human are evil by nature". no, like i said, it's just difference of interest.

stop generalizing, go read a book or something.

Well said "axiao".
I, too, believe humans are not evil. I think we tend to dichotomize everything: good and evil, heaven and hell...basically we're just looking at things in black and white.

well, that's just how humans function.
seeing everything in black and white is the method of contrast. human are created to know how to contrast from one to another. this is why we have intelligence. we have intelligence because we are able to contrast, and through contrast we are able to adapt, and adaptation is the key feature of homo sapien, we cannot adapt if we cant find the differences in the things around us. for example, how can we adapt if we dont know what's wet and what's dry?

it's very natural for us to try to find an answer to answer the question "what is good and bad" by looking at things around us. it's natural to generalize, after all, the ability to generalize is hard wired in all of us, much like stereotyping.

this is why the gray line causes so much controversy, not because it's gray, but because it does not provide a good enough contrast for us to settle down to a single solid answer. we are simply not advance enough (in intelligence) to be able to accept the world without contrasting it. though it can be trained.

Yes, sometimes i think we are E.V.I.L cuz, we are destroying the only place where we can live and survive. But, we are also the only ones who can protect our MOTHER EARTH. If we won't protect her, who will?

its not really our fault if we are evil cause its kinda natural like humans naturally eat meat and would probably do pretty much anything to survive. If we didnt use electricity and resources like wood, coal etc. then the standard of life would decrese significantly and that is somthing that people just wont let happen.

please, just please, come back with some critical thinking skills.

the earth needs no protector. time and time again nature has proven that human are just ants in the palm of the lion. nature is not a separate body from human, this is what most of us do not understand. human is part of the nature, we are not obligated to attempt to destroy nature, nor to protect nature, our existence is part of nature's planning. in comparison to the forces of nature, our technology, our knowledge, our skills are far too insignificant. with, or without human, nature will live on.

Yup i would say that we are, cos we are probably the only species to derive pleasure from hurting someone/something else... however, where there is evil there is also good... and as such not all humans are evil... some of it is based on nurture, but i think inherently, humans are built with compassion, cos even the most evil person loves someone/some living thing...

Ah, but if we do not conserve and protect, the life and comforts we now enjoy will be that much harder to get. Be concerned. Go green.

If you don't be evil, you won't survive in this world; trust me.
Evil -> Good-hearted.

Don't listen to the drama/anime or whatsoever Lol, they aren't true. In drama/anime always say: Good-hearted -> Evils lolz.
But in our real life, it turns around.
