Before I say anything I just want to let everyone know not to list torrents or bitorrents or w/e in this thread.

If you want to download this game and play it, buy it at the following sites:

http://www.himeyashop.com/index.php
http://www.paletweb.com/top.asp

Now for the purpose of this thread.
You can list sites to get english patches to input into the official Higurashi no Naku Koro ni game, ask questions related to the game(s), or just simply talk about the game.

BUT BE SURE TO WRAP SPOILER TAGS AROUND THINGS THAT CAN RUIN THE ANIME FOR PEOPLE!

Here is a really good link to a current english patch of onikakushi-hen:

http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=63905

The link includes discussion about the patch. (Forum) Check here first before posting questions regarding to the patch.
Go to later pages or Sonozaki Futagotachi's blog listed below which lists updates about the progress.

http://sonozakifutagotachi.blogspot.com/

Also you can always download the demo version of the patch, but be sure to みら~10 when you download the demo because that seems to be theo only working link. XD

Here is the demo which includes the first game, Onikakushi-hen (there are 8 main games and 1 fan disk).

About downloading it:

---

I really recommend that you play all of the games because they include SO much more information than the anime... the anime is really bad compared to them. >_> And it has TIPS of which you can read the translations at AnimeSuki if you want.

---

I think you should change the title to "Visual Novel" instead of "Dojin Game" because in most English uses, doujin suggests that it's fanmade... so it doesn't seem like it's the original... just a suggestion.

YES! Please people, support the games so that the series can last forever! You guys don't know how much of the anime leaves out and how much better the games are compared to it! XD

Skitty, do you have any links to legal english patches of the game? I can't seem to find any as of right now...sadly...there is groups of people supporting the series by making patches of the game such as Umineko...but certain groups forget or just leave the project(s) behind mostly sadly, like Minagoroshi / Matsuribayashi.

There is a umineko english patch. (Link below) Sorry if off topic btw, just putting it up there because it is somewhat related.

The person who is doing the Onikakushi-hen english patch (Sonozaki Futagotachi) is saying they will try and do the rest of the series as well.

It's only one person I think, so even though it takes long it is really really good and neat.

It's two people. One does the translation (Shion) and the other does the editing (Mion). XD

They do a really great job for just two people!
Hopefully other people will see their acheivement in this gmae translation and go help them...with of course high quality work like they have done.

Did you by chance play the full/demo game and use their patch? jw

Lol no spam, Ben. >:O

I played it without the patch and then found out about the patch and replayed it (but only a few days... I didn't really feel like reading the whole thing. @_@).

lol.

No I would really read it, it is an excellent story and the anime (like you said) leaves so much out from the games.
