Would you choose the one that you love or the one that loves you?

It's hard and it depends on the type of guy that loves me. I know some pretty...weird and desperate guys. I would just try to find another guy. I know how it feels when a guy doesn't like you back and I just move on. Somewhere along the path I will meet with someone who loves me as much as I love him.

Truthfully, I'm not sure. Nitestryker makes a good point. Couldn't have said it better myself. For me, whatever happens, happens, so might as well go with it I guess.

Sigh, I agree with Eros...but since it is such an open ended question I will put my answer in several different ways.

I would choose the dog/cat that loves me, because it would be obedient.

I would choose the shoes that I love because they will keep my feet happy.

I would choose the food that I love, obviously because I love it.

And as far as relationships go...well choosing love is someting that you could do, but the real question should be should you choose the one you like, or the one that you think you want and has a, b, and c qualiltiy that you like regardless of how you feel about the aforementioned person?

If reality could be so cut and dried we would all be blessed with picking the one we love and having that person pick us at the same time. It is all a crap shoot and the odds are all ways with the house.

And of course that ugly word "infatuation"....

Gotta be true to yourself so choose the one you love and if you get rejected move on...maybe someday you'll end up liking the one that loves you and all will be fine.

I agree.
Maybe that might happen.
I would rather choose the one i love and be rejected rather than go to the one that i don't really love without knowing wat would happen if a didn't try at least.

One thing ollie_p brings up that I do different from many people is confine the word "love" to human interaction. Do I love my shoes? Hell no, thats crazy! The word "love" seems to have become synonymous with something like "like a lot" to many people in many cases. But heck, I have a lot of word usage pet peeves like that.

"but the real question should be should you choose the one you like, or the one that you think you want and has a, b, and c qualiltiy that you like regardless of how you feel about the aforementioned person?" I'm not sure I understand the question. Care to elaborate?

Well, eros, when I say I love my shoes it is a true thing, those shit kickers have been with me since college, and have a lot of memories, miles and countries that they have been too.

And as far as the food, well, it is how I am. I love food, and I have been to several countries just for the food. I have cooked since I was five, and have been to school for culinary arts training. So love is what it is, I live to eat.

As far as the question that I posed...it is a common thing for people to do. Pick a person based on the qualities that they most desire in a mate. For instance, my son's godmother was engaged to a man solely on the fact that she thought that she loved the qualities that he had, not for himself (she is by the way in her fifties). It is a trick most females play on themselves no matter how old or young. They believe they like or love someone because they have the qualities that they most want in a mate.

And of course, actually choosing the person that you like. I won't say love because a lot of people don't know what that really means to them until they really have it, and lose it, or have it and keep it for some time.

But of course love means differnt things to different people, so far be it from me to comparmentalilze anyone!

But going through the first love syndrome, dating people from all walks of life and country I understand how hard it is to choose the one who loves you, but don't love back, and choosing the one that you love who marries some one else and starts a family without you. It is hard, it hurts, but in the end, I have the one who I love, and who loves me. So all is well that ends well, no matter how much you screw the pooch. *If anyone does not understand that, it does not literaly mean bestiality*

Hmmmm??? Choose the one you love... Kinda reminds me of that saying..."It's better to have love and lost, than to have never loved at all" Or the other one...."If you really love someone, you have to learn to let go" or something like that.

I would pick the one I love, because the girls that normally fall in love with me are ugly or fat, or god forbid both

I know its really not my place and all, but fat girls....nothing wrong with them...just not our type? besides that doesn't mean they aren't nice and all. so not to be judgmental and all. But, I would just keep that friends barrier. I have friends who dated big girls and all. Whatever rocks their boat. ^^ Everything is in personal preferences.

i would choose the one that love me and hope shes attractive cause you cant go chasing forever and the one that you love might hate you,so if you chose to love someone who loves you,one thing is for certain:they will love you in return

and if i chose the one who loves me, will i even be able to love him in return??

exactly why i totally agree with Shadinexus

I'll just have to wait till I fall in love with someone who loves me!! So far, i'm in a relationship now..but i'm not sure if he's "the one"...hehe...
