Guh i can't stand photoshop editing...I did it once, but i got annoyed with it.
I did it for a reason though.

Are you a photographer yourself?
- sure i agree that some people class themselves as a photographer because they take pictures of 'stuff'.
If you can read into photographs then please read into the two which i posted above.
If you're not on the same lines of what i'm trying to say in them - then please don't criticize other peoples work.

Regards;
Nox.

No, i am not a photgrapher myself the only pictures i have ever taken are of drunken girls who are willing to take their clothes off ( and i would count that more as teenage hormones than i would me being a "photographer")
To be honest.....i havent looked @ one single photo on this thread i just jolted down and wrote my few thought on the general topic. Which is the way i feel about MOST (most being 95%) photography, I wasnt trying to insult your work mainly because i havent seen it.

How can you say u accept 95% of these photgraphs as 'art' since u jolted through them all? and as a secondary, i dont think these guys/girls cares about if you accept it as art since you have no sence of photography at all.

sorry about this message but i just always become annoyed when people butt in and critizise peoples works etc, when the first of all havent even got a clue about what their writing about.

ill have some pictures up soon, i hope- need to find them first o.O think i put them down on a cd or something .. >.>

You are a poorly misinformed jackass...just keep your mouth shut...i said absolutely nothing about anyones photographs on this thread i generalized it as a whole meaning everyone...not any particulars...and whos to say just because im not a photographer doesnt mean i dont have a sense of what good photography is...dont feign ignorance you look ridiculous just keep quiet and move along

Oh... Haha.. I thought the topic was "Pornography" and all see is art pictures of photography... LOL... Sorry for the disturbance. Please go on.

Edit: Okay, I had looked at the thread. It was really nice. There are a lot of great pictures. I want to take Photgraphy too, and some of my friends are on it too. And yeah, my friend's favorite spot is at Skate Park in this town. Because we have new graffiti made by other people almost everyday and it also has a great view, both Plains and Sky.

I'm an amateur photographer. I like to photograph anything using depth of field... I LOVE depth of field... I also took a great motion shot (for my class) and I got into trouble for it.. since my speedometer was in focus... you could see very clearly that I was going 85 down a two lane country road... But it looked cool! Soon as I scan it in, i'll post it.

question to all teenage photographers:

Why do you take pictures of random objects? Is there a point? It's really ugly and doesn't attract my eyes.

It's called art maybe? Painters usually just draw weird stuff, and it can be anything.

@sherunsaway - your first picture is great ... makes the viewer think, which you want with some art. (The picture's an eye-catcher, like the opening shot to a mystery.)

@juiceboxkim - concentrate more on composition and/or cropping. For example:

I know what you were trying for and, believe me, that's a hard composition to pull off. (Perspective and lens distortion often make the person look out of proportion.) In this case, the legs and white skirt distract from the picture. Notice I also cropped down to remove the tree trunk in the background, otherwise I wouldn't have cropped so tightly.

Your flip-flop picture is very nice, I like it. The sunglasses/sunbather is also very nice, with a double cross-diagonal flow. (Cropping to remove most of the sky would tighten the viewer's focus and raise the impact.) Finally, the clouds could be improved by cropping out the foreground.
