malay is easiest i guess. its written in english alphabets and u read it as how you would read english. fer eg. selamat pagi (se-la-mat pa-gi) {good morning]
easy aint it?

sorry to disappoint you but english is not a phonological language like malay...malay, tagalog, japanese, spanish and etcetera are phonological languages...you read them as how they are written...

but languages like english, french, german, and such are not...you don't read notice as no-ti-ce, you wouldn't read oak as o-ak or pneumonia as p-ne-u-mo-ni-a...well yeah there are some words that you could read as how it is written but not all...and english is a complicated language...when you go deep down into it...even people who are naturally born as english speakers don't use english properly...there's no word in english as ain't, gonna, wanna and etcetera.....and the pronunciation of the letters could be different to how the letters are arrange...like in wip and wipe...sew and sue...

oh well, the easiest language would be latin....in terms of characters and such...i'll say korean or maybe japanese...i don't know which one i will choose...

actually for someone who hasn't grown up learning english, it can prove difficult to learn.

The sentence structure is different, and the vowel sounds change dependent, on word whereas in japanese for example 'a' will always make an 'ah' sound, but in english it makes many different sounds. This is one of the reasons that some people learning english find it hard to pronounce, heck even english speakers have to wing the pronounciation of words they don't know, because unlike other european languages, we don't use accents in writing (save for some names).

Also, there are alot of exceptions when you conjugate verbs in english. i wouldn't say hynoyms and syononyms were that much of a problem, though people who are native speakers stumble themselves, but every language is like that.

it's probably the easiest to write though, the alphabet is simple, it's only the pronounciation that makes it tricky to learn.

agree....

Well, it differs for everyone. For example, fi you know french, then italian is a piece of cake. Or if you know how to write in chinese, then japanese won't be a problem. It all depends.

Well english is out if you mean learn as in not born into an english speaking country, besides If I remember English is one of the harder languages to learn.

speaking-French, I hate writing french though, so much easier to say
writing-not sure, something that uses characters/ letter that I could easily understand.

Surprisingly, to people who didn't have English as a 1st or 2nd language, English is actually one of the most hardest languages to learn (According to my teacher) But easiest...I haven't learnt it yet but people say Spanish is easy

Well, If I didn't know any english, that would be hard.

Let's say if I didn't know any of these languages? They would all be hard.
(-If i didn't know any of these languages, I would probably understand jibberish)
