i am just curious about the composition of the fans of this band.

i am always asked why most of the fans are girls.is that true?

Well I voted hope it helped. It is quite intereststing that most GazE fans seem to be girls. Hmm the only thing is this poll isn't necesarily the most accurate way to determine this because not necessarily everyone will vote. Maybe a better idea may to go through the GazettE family member list and check each profile and note whether each member is male or female (although I understand this would be rather time consuming).
Also you have to remember that members of the GazettE family group only represents a small proportion of GazettE fans so you may want to look at other forums and fansites as well.

Also you need to take into account that that GazettE fans do not even represent all Visual Kei fans or even all J-rock fans. So maybe you could also consider looking at different fanbases to extend your research.

You also might want to compare visual kei (and by visual kei I include the subgenres like oshare, angura , etc) to non-visual J-rock fanbases. Although I haven't investigated myself, visual bands tend to have a higher proportion of female fans whereas the male:female ratio tends to e slightly differnent in non-visual J-rock fanbases (although I'm only familair with the fanbases of a few non-visual J-rock bands so I wouldn't really know).

Anyway, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to criticize what you're doing. I actually think this is a really interesting idea but I just thought I'd suggest a few options to consider to extend your research.

Oh and if you're looking for reasons why v-kei fans tend to have more female fans, I'm not entirely sure but maybe certain aspects of the visual style tend to be more appealing to female fans than male fans? Although I'm not entirely sure...I'm still quite a newbie when it comes to J-rock so I may be just talking complete rubbish but this is generally what I've noticed. ^^

i was thinking at the beginning that this will need more substance.i am taking to account what you said, but i am not taking these seriously though.yes, i will be comparing the fan base between vk and non-vk bands.hm, selected bands maybe.and i'll be polling also some of the facts.
as for the reasons, what kind of aspects?, i need specific reasons.i'll tackle that later cuz if i post that, i'll get fainting responses and screaming and all that...

I'm a girl, but it's not I like them for their pretty faces, or stuff, I just think that their music is super awesome!

Also, I asked one of my male friends who said that he didn't like vk, and he said that he didn't like them because they look g@y... Maybe because most of vk bands are male, and you know most vk band members have pretty faces and stuff, the rest of the males feel that their image is being diverted to being pretty. (lol, sorry if you didn't catch that, I can't really explain things well... ><;;).

But anyway, the GazettE ROCKS~!
