wow he seems tough.. for it.. only comes with more experience.. but you know how to shrimp right? hip escape?
i feel what you're saying.. when i started going up against fighters using bjj, it felt so weird.. because judo
has side control, 100 kilos, north south, and the chokes.. but that was only the most.. only when I learned how to roll did I got it..
its hard as hell if you dont practice.. to it.. you can always use your bookbag.. my friends laughed at me.. now look at everyone..

how long did you start learning tae kwon do, and bjj?

i know wat u mean by hipp escape but it wasn't exactly side control but similar to it can't remember wat it's called yh i've been doin TKD for about 8yrs and bjj for 6months they're completely the oppostite of each other. one strking in the air and one grapling on the floor but i rekon it's a great mix.

seems true.. can you find the difference of distance in both already?

Cuz wing chun is pretty similar but tae kwon do? but i do know Tae kwon do.. has throws, and needs to close a gap to HIT..
my friend took tang soo do.. and his foundation helped him become amazing..
I think the unification is a beautiful thing ^^

I think u mean brazilian jiu jitsu or jujutsu but yh i do BJJ and i also know quite a few other member who dose jujutsu so if u want any info about tehm just give is a yelp o and wen people say 'gi' it usually refering to the uniform (this only refers to japanese martial arts) eg. karate gi is a karate uniform, judo gi is judo uniform etc.

btw There's also no such thing as a simple martial art because all martial arts is just as good as each other the only thing that judges a person from a victory and a defeat is not about the martial art they do but which practitioner trained harder and how they apply their moves.

As our Fearless Leader before me asked, it's a specification thing. Many people get the spelling confused.
I always refer to Traditional Japanese as Jujutsu and Brazillian as Jiu-Jitsu as that is exactly the way it is pronounced and spelled. It can get confusing and it is an honest mistake, you could also just say TJJ [or the monotonous JJJ] or BJJ for short.

If you meant Jujutsu, we wear traditional hakama and keikogi.
I have heard of some who just use a simple judogi.

has anyone here heard of taekkyeon or taekyon? it's suppose to be like a full on traditional korean martial arts but wen i watched it on youtube it literally made me laugh cos of their movement though it looks unpredictable and very fluid it doesn't look effective at all, like their moves looks too soft to make any impact at all...."if there's any taekyon practitioners out there pls convince me that i'm wrong and there's more to it than dancing around."

i think it's has a tradtion behind it as well.. and hae you ever seen how boxers bounce on the ball on their feet.. well when i checked it out, it looked like forward backwards weihgtshifting.. and their strikes dont look based on punch through, or kick through.. but dynamic force, and adaptation.. but yes,.. gotta have an opinion from an expreienced practitioner
