Eh, I think in general they are about the same to me. Although I generally draw 97% female characters. >.>; I have never really had more trouble drawing male character relative to female character or vise versa. Figure is just difficult in general for me.

For me both of them have its own difficulty. Well it depend on your style on drawing. I can draw both male and female character. However that depend on the type of male and female character.
Well for instance if anyone here following like drawing of male version of Clamp style. Less muscle, longer body ratio
yet a perfect line it quite easy using Clamp style rather than other drawing style just like Kubo Tite. However that depend on your own style. I can't say nothing about other style.
About the female character I think most of the drawing of female version is almost the same.
The most important thing is how to bring up the female character look kawaii yet they angry; emotionless; happy; sad and all sort of emotion. About the body ratio, well if its really trouble you just refer to any shoujo manga. That really help.

Well I guess both have its own difficulty in drawing them perfectly

I think it depends on what gender you are.

O . o A lot of my friends who are girls draw and they have a hard time drawing guys. Like, when their finished product comes out, their guy drawings still look like girls. However, their girl drawings are really pretty.

And when my guy friends draw girls... It just comes out totally demented. xD But their guy drawings are manly looking.

It's probably just because people are more in tune to their bodies, so they have no problem drawing their own gender. C: They already know all the crooks and crannies, so it should be easy from there.

Girls are definitely harder to draw... at least for me.

Because you can mess up on a guy and the guy will be like eh cool, whatevers.
But you make one line wrong on a girl and they go crazy! What?! I dont look like that, im not that fat, my eyes arent that small, etc etc.

Well I think it depends on your own drawing history. If you drew more females then males then you may have problems with males

For me, I try to balance it. Have no real problems in both (I hope so).

I actually agree on that, females are slightly harder for me lately because I've been drawing more males; but I think its the effect of what you are influenced in. (Excuse me if you don't like yaoi) The more you tend to read more manga/anime with more "men" then the more you are comfortable to draw males because you either observe carefully of the proportions of each artist use. While on the other hand with shoujo and or just ecchi or harem--like for woman or men they will tend to draw whatever gender floats there boat of interest.

I love how you shade your drawings!! Overall love your style--reminds me of a shoujo manga I've been reading recently.
Well you brought the confidence for me to bring up my drawings XD but beware my females fail.
This is my example; maybe just maybe females are harder to draw? It does depend on the boat of interest or style.

Nice one on for the boy's sketch , tho the girl doesn't really look like a girly girl , but i won't say it's a failure either =]

XD Yeah, that's what all my friends say but I read/watch the 'tsundere' or the 'kickass girls most of the time. I tend not to go to the girly girly side because.. I don't know it just annoy me sometimes.

Most of the time I read girls that look really tomboyish at first but later one they get cuter and cuter XD
I actually do, but I tend to delete too many drawings because of my low confidence in digital art
If you want my DA here: http://harululu.deviantart.com/
NO DRAWINGS AT ALL XD Hopefully I'll upload some stuff later but too busy with school now @w@
