Post Reply Which Is Harder To Draw: Males Or Females
Posted 11/1/13
Male bodies. Because there's no flow in it.

The easiest way to draw the female body is to simply draw two vertically curved lines next to each other (an abstract) that emphasize the neck, chest, waist, hips, and thighs. It can be drawn in under five seconds and all human beings on this planet will be able to recognize it.

After that. Faces. It don't matter if it's male or female, any face is just awful to draw. That, and contrasts (depth).

For me, males are harder to draw because I am a girl and if I need to, I could use myself as a model. With guys, it's kind of hard to get them to pose for you or to find any decent references online without getting pages of super buff and naked guys.

I find males a little boring to draw occasionally--but I think it really is a matter of what you practice.

I think females are harder to draw because they have so many rules to their body structures =A=

I think males are harder because if you mess up a little, they will just look wrong..

Females for me. It's the eyes that keep tripping me up!

I think it depends on how much detail you want in the drawing. But if i draw anime-styeld characters, i think females are the easiest out of the two.

guys are harder for me. Their bodies are rougher and more rigid while girls tend to be more fluid, so it's hard to make guys look right

It's equally hard to draw on females and males, females tend to scream and hit you, while guys just yell and hit you...

wait did I misread this title?

Women anatomy is more fun to draw because of all the curves and boobz and stuff and men anatomy is more stick figure-ish and edgy than women and i'm not talking about body builder which between us have no gender whatsoever (cut the face of man and woman body builder put theym side by side and tell me which is which and don't expect to see a bump between legs AH!)

and to answer the question neither is hard to draw, the one you do the most is the less difficult do to practice and drawing is all about practicing. you ll learn by repetition. it's basically like homework.
