Yep. Instant death on a global scale. I had a friend once, he held a gun in his hand for 5 minutes and the next day he woke up with super AIDS. Guns give you super AIDS that will kill you to death!

I say they should be allowed to carry guns for protection. Weapons of all shapes and form have their purpose just like people.
A gun is only dangerous in the wrong hands and "evil" in the wrong hands. There are those who establish order with guns and keep peace with guns. People should be allowed to own one and only carry one if they have a concealed handgun license.
Say an asshole starts shooting civilians for no reason and lets say small handful of those citizens own guns....They can now defend themselves. Police take to long to respond sometimes. lol Whatever thats my opinion I don't expect any agreements or care about disagreements.

personally I believe that yes everyone should be allowed to own and carry a gun any weapon in fact cuz when a fly is buzzing around your head eventually nothing but a flamethrower will suffice..... ok well obviously im joking but i do believe that you should be able to because not everyone is stupid and guns dont hurt people go ahead put a gun on your table and see how long it takes before it attacks you ill wait and for those of you who are trusting ill say the problem is the aggressive and stupid people that ruin it for everyone and for those of you who think it doesnt make a difference ill give you an example of how the system sucks i have to walk to kendo but i am not able to bring a metal sword to be used for Kata and general practice because if anyone saw me with it i would get a free ride to my local police station isnt the system great (also for those of you who actually read this far it is greatly appreciated thanks for your time )

Guns for everyone! Well, with criminal background checks and psyche exams. But yeah, guns = legal. I got a shotgun for christmas, and everyone was buying me fun tactical attachments . . .

Family bonding at its finest XD

I trapshoot for recreation, and i can assure you that my gun does not have its barrel pointed at my head right now... its an inanimate object that requires something to get it to go off... Without a trigger the device is no different from you using a stone to bash your opponents head in...

sticks and stones CAN break your bones. and words can potentially leave talking to a psychiatrist in your adulthood.

Yes. Because even if laws came about that made owning guns illegal, the people who use them irresponsibly would find a way to gain them by illegal means. Having a gun may not stop someone from shooting at you, but it may very well make them think twice about it,

You do realize that, like 70% of Americans are stupid right?!?! On a non joking note (though there WAY to many stupid people down south), peoples minds are fragile things. A person who may be perfectly normal for 30 years, who finally gets a gun may just end up pulling an aurora Colorado type thing. It doesn't take much to turn a perfectly normal person into a physco. But I guess since it's your constitutional right, it's fine.

People should carry guns ONLY IF they are in war or there's a terrorism going on..
Security guards ,Police and Military should be the ones to have guns in the first place because it's their job and responsibility to protect the unarmed citizens.
People who are not even on those jobs should not have one. Guns are not some kind of fashion sense.
Self protection should not be the case.. Because there's no justification and evidence that the one who's holding the gun is right of shooting his/her "enemy" or not. How would you know that the one suspect is attempting to shoot the "victim"? That's just my opinion though

well duh i know because i own 12 2 of them are for hunting and i own a pistol for as the law calls it self defense i think and agree that it should be legal but there are people who abuse that right and people get hurt because of it so i can agree 50/50 that people should and shouldn't be allowed that's my personal view lol btw i own about 12 guns so that means i have 9 guns that are iilegal soooooo yaaaaa

Short answer yes, as there are many legitimate purpose for having them (self defense, hunting, shooting ranges, or someone's just a collector). Even if you outlawed them there would still be an illegal market that would let criminals get their hands on them. For those saying someone could go crazy and go on a rampage, such a person could just as easily do so with a knife or sword, and you can't ban everything in existence that could possibly be used to kill someone.

As a shooting enthusiast, I'll have to say yes. In the hands of responsible, good people, they're no more dangerous than the 2 ton cars we drive around in. It's one of our constitutional rights (for us U.S. citizens haha).

Think of it this way: if you get caught in the middle of a shooting, you're going to want your fellow, law-abiding citizens around you to have guns too, right? The bad guy doesn't give a s**t about the law and when seconds count, the police takes minutes.

from what ive been told (havent looked into it) but apparently arizona is a "show and go" state. Ive talked to people at gun shops and they were saying people will just take a gun they bought and as long as the person has the money the exchange and leave. Idk bout the legality but it sounds like u dont have to do any kind of paper work, which is scary as sh** (and even as a gun owner i think thats a messed up oversight if its true)

I admit I don't know as much about gun laws as I probably should. When I bought mine I had to complete background check form as well as a background check which I had to pay for. Then since it was my first handgun purchase I had to wait 72 hours. I was also told that all handguns that could be concealed needed to be registered with the Metro Police Department, but I really doubt it'd be an issue unless I was wearing it openly. I'm not sure but I believe that, provided you already legally own a handgun, you can buy a gun and walk out with it that same day since you already were background checked once. There's no such wait period on rifles or shotguns. I've only bought one gun though so i'm not sure whether that's true or not.

Theres no wait for long guns because they are a lot harder to hide.

Also props for admitting you dont know as much about gun laws as "you probably should" too many people out there think they know everything about it and those are the last people I want near guns

see in Arizona its different, i bought my HK p30 before i had my CCW (concealed carry license) and it was just fill out this form about are you a criminal and bla bla bla, they make a 5 minute phone call, hand me the gun and i walk out. then when i got my glock 22 i had my CCW and it was go in, fill out the same form, show them the card, they write the number down, and i walk out. Now, for the CCW you had to take a class and get finger printed and it was a 3 month wait for it, during which time they did a back ground check and in the class they said if youve ever had the police called on you for making a threat or hospitalized for suicide watch, you wont get it. but the scary part is, say i go commit armed robbery or something and get convicted, i have 30 days to turn over the CCW (u have a criminal record you lose it) problem is during that 30 days theres nothing stopping me from buying a gun or 50 with it, though im sure at some point they will run it thru a system to see if its valid. Arizona's laws also just changed recently so now if you can own a gun you can carry it concealed, which even i think is stupid. After taking the class i can tell you, theres a LOT more rules about when u can use it or even pull it out than just " i felt threatened". IE they have to be within 21 feet of you, have a deadly weapons, or it has to be a huge number disadvantage (the example was getting jumped by 8 guys in an alley you can shoot one of them), you cant shoot someone in the back (read when theyre running away), or while they are on the ground, and you cant say kill, girls its a little more lenient, he gave an example of a guy breaking into a girls garage and stealing her car and she shot him and didnt get arrested but if a guy had done the same thing he would have been arrested.

Im all for guns, I love them, but even I have to admit that the laws seem a little relaxed about it. Mainly the concealed carry part. Do i think people should be allowed to carry guns concealed or not? Definitely, but if they are gonna be carried concealed i feel like they should have to take a class to learn all the rules and go through a rigorous background check so there aren't just people walking around (the loonies) with guns that I dont know about.
