Pokemon is just really fun when you're doing Pictionary or trivia.

Me and my friend used to doodle Pokemon on paper and make each other guess what we drew.
We would try to imitate what that Pokemon does, and make funny Pokemon sounds; give each other clues'/hints. (flap wings, branches, etc)

We also like to yell out where that Pokemon appeared in the TV series or in the Nintendo games. (Trainer that caught it etc.)

I just thought this was a lot of fun now, even if I haven't touched Pokemon in ages. There is so many of them and they each have distinctive features.

Does anyone else have a similar experience growing up? Anyone still play this?

Seriously the ideas for pokemon are just getting more and more stupid with each generation. Gen 1 FTW.

No, I Didn't do anything pokemon related other than the Gameboy games/.

Online play is stupid?

To be honest, I'm still building my OU and UU teams.

Generation 1 Pokemon shows were really stupid if you watched them again. And they're dumb now because we're not kids anymore. A lot of kids still enjoy it, but kids are getting smarter and they grow out of Pokemon a lot faster because there so many alternate Anime/Cartoons/TV shows available.

I haven't heard of the Online play.

I'm thinking more about the things you do with your friends. With out electrical gadgets. About Pokemon.

Some people like to talk about Pokemon, I like to doodle and make other people guess what it is before talking about them.

I'm sorry, I meant online trading. After all, Nintendo still fears the myriad power of the internet.

Face it, Yu Gi Oh makes a little bit more sense than Pokemon.

Yeah If they made an online Pokemon game (even in Gameboy graphics) I'd play it. But alot of the gameplay is gonna need revising and story line too.

Only thing I did that was Pokémon is the GameBoy games (only ones I can find is Sapphire and FireRed).... And now, its just scary now k? Now just how many regions are there for Pokémon?
1. Kanto - Northern region
2. Johto - Western region
3. Hoenn - Southern region
4. Sinnoh - Eastern region

I liked it before, with like 100-ish pokemon... now how many are there? 300-400 something!

Sorry i don't share the same experience...
otherwise i love the pokemon games...it is really creative and for some reason it never ceases to amaze me..i can't deny that. Also they are in SSB so it is even more awesome ><

Yu-Gi-Oh... is not all that great. There was always a table filled with Yu-Gi-Oh people and they would duel. It was somewhat funny to see that happen in college...also this one guy did his senior project on making a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament... so based on that I guess I am slightly skeptical. I think that most kids would be surprised after reading the actual manga though not the American version. lol the reaction would be priceless.

Pokemon should have ended with Gen. 2. I'll maintain till the day I die that Gold and Silver were the best Pokemon games ever.

At least Pokemon is fantasy. I can put Yu-Gi-Oh(the show) into a few words "It's time to risk our lives playing a children's card game" (Gotta love Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series XD)
