DBSK Rocks SMTOWN LIVE '08

Very much like Japan’s A-Nation, SM Entertainment’s first leg of their SMTOWN LIVE ’08 concert looked like a very successful project indeed.

Held at the Olympic Main Stadium, in Seoul. The much-awaited SM concert kicked off with some great (or should we say “HOT”) performances. TVXQ went reminiscing as they wore their school uniform costumes for their “Hug” performance. The fab-five also performed with other artists, collaborating with Super Junior, BoA, and CSJH.

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement and shared the experience the very minute they could come online. Fancams and photos were distributed everywhere for the worldwide fans to see. TVXQ forums were swarmed by incoming media files to the fans delight.

Sporting new attention-grabbing hairstyles, TVXQ looked like they were ready to make a new impression to their Korean fans. With their 4th album coming out this fall, fans are even more excited.

The group performed songs from the present and the past, including Hug, Through the Forest, Love is, O ~ Jung.Ban.Hap, Rising Sun, Purple Line, Tri-Angle (with SUJU, BoA, CSJH), Sedanma, Love in the Ice, Oasis, Hi Ya Ya, Balloons, Show Me Your Love (with SUJU).

SMTOWN LIVE ’08 will also rock Thailand (Bangkok), Beijing and Shanghai this year.

TVXQ's 24th Japanese Single!

There are more good news for TOHOSHINKI fans. Looks like everyone won’t be saving enough to buy things for themselves, especially crazed fans whose goal is to collect everything and anything that the group releases.

Well, another one to add to your list is TOHOSHINKI’s upcoming 24th Japanese single. The new single is scheduled for release on October 1, 2008. Although still untitled, the single is revealed to be the lead off track for TVXQ’s 4th Korean album. For this single, it will be in Japanese.

The song is also expected to be an SMP type, which is a powerful pop/dance track unique to SM Entertainment artists. Fans weren’t expecting to hear news about an upcoming Japanese single so soon, but as always AVEX wants to make sure that everyone gets a piece of news, even months ahead before the release.

I’m pretty sure the single will leak soon enough. We were discussing earlier that AVEX were really the ones leaking previews on the internet way before, to generate public interest. And obviously that helps a lot in promoting TOHOSHINKI’s music. So expect to hear some previews pretty soon.

Below are the CD/DVD descriptions from CD Japan and Shinseido:

JACKET A [ CD+DVD Version ]
New single release from Dong Bang Shin Ki (TOHOSHINKI). This single features the lead off track to the group's upcoming fourth full-length album in Korea, only for this release performed in Japanese. Limited edition includes bonus DVD with music video (subject to change).

JACKET B [ CD Version ]
New single release from Dong Bang Shin Ki (TOHOSHINKI). This single features the lead off track to the group's upcoming fourth full-length album in Korea, only for this release performed in Japanese. Regular edition includes bonus remix of the single "Doshite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattann Daro?"

MICKY YOOCHUN IS NOW A "BOWL-HEAD"

You probably remember Jaejoong’s short stint in trying out the famous “bowl cut” a couple of months back. It didn’t last long, and he got rid of it on the next public appearance.

But apparently it was not just Jaejoong who is trying out the “mushroom cut” (aka “bowl cut”) that every Korean celebrity seem to be trying out these days.

To the surprise (and shock) of many TVXQ fans, Micky Yoochun suddenly walked out (of an establishment) sporting a dreaded bowl-cut himself. And apparently it’s indeed very very bowlish (from how it looks in the current pictures).

In fact his new hairdo is the talk of the town, and is a top search in many Korean sites. Of course pictures have leaked as well. One photo shows him talking on the phone, while walking through a parking lot. You can clearly see that he’s gotten rid of his ponytail, and with his new hair very much exposed.

Yoochun has always been one of the most daring ones when it comes to hairstyles. He’s not afraid to change his look. Apparently TVXQ will be in Korea a lot these days, and I think that has got something to do with this (Koreans seem to dig this hairdo more than anyone).

THE 5th ASIA SONG FESTIVAL 2008 THIS OCTOBER!

Music is indeed our international language, and once in a while we just have to celebrate that.

And now celebrating it’s 5th year. The much-awaited ASIA SONG FESTIVAL has finally marked its date. The event happens on October 3-5, from Friday to Sunday at the Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul, where it can accommodate approximately 6,000 people. Hyatt Hotel is also mentioned as one of the venues.

ASIA SONG FESTIVAL has become Asia’s top cultural exchange program, which began in 2004 and will be celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. The festival showcases the best Asian artists, bringing together music and culture of different Asian nations.

Newcomers are set to perform on the opening day (October 3), while the main concert event (October 4) features Asia’s award-winning artists and musicians, which includes Asia’s most influential singers, the Korean boy group, Tong Vfang Xien Qi (TVXQ). Among others; Karen Mok (Hong Kong), Rivermaya (Philippines), Farenheit (Taiwan), w-inds. (Japan) and many others.

EVE NIGHT
October 03, 2008 / 6pm-10pm

Asian Newcomers

- SHINee (Korea)
- Berryz Kobo (Japan)
- Yoga Lin (Taiwan)
- Jocie Guo Mei Mei (Singapore)
- BX (Mongolia)
- PECK (Thailand)
- Rynn Lim (Malaysia)

MAIN CONCERT
October 04, 2008 / 6pm-10pm

Best Asian Singer Awards

- TVXQ (Korea)
- SNSD (Korea)
- W-inds (Japan)
- Anson Hu (China)
- Fahrenheit (Taiwan)
- Karen Mok (Hong Kong)
- ICE (Thailand)
- Ho Quynh Huong (Vietnam)
- Rivermaya (Philippines)
- Agnes Monica (Indonesia)

Asian Newcomers

- SHINee (Korea)
- Berryz Kobo (Japan)

The 3-day event is made possible by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Seoul Metropolitan City, Korea Tourism Organization, and SBS.

Hopefully this year, the Korean crowd can be more appreciative or at least respectful of other non-Korean performers, of whom they do not know. It’s appalling if the same mistakes happen like last year, where audiences treat the event like some sort of competition.

But I think it's evident that organizers have already anticipated such mishaps that they finally opted for a smaller venue with entrance requiring tickets, instead of just letting everybody in. At least they can now minimize their headache and have confidence that they can control their audience.

I hope this year’s ASF becomes a “pleasant and memorable” one.

Yunho sort of has a similar hairstyle too, right. I like it on Yunho, I still want the long hair back, but Yunho pulls off this new style pretty well (or am I just too smitten with him to care ). LOL I don't think it looks too bad on Yoochun either. It did take a few pictures to finally accept it, but I'm coping. LOL

Of all of the new haircut styles, I adore Changmin's short cut the most! He looks HOT!!! and SEXY!!! I also like YunHo's haircut. He looked more handsome...

I am not that much of a fan of the "bowl cut" style, but JaeJoong looks fine in it and Micky looks different... No matter what kind of hairstyle these boys have, they look hot and handsome...

Jae Joong has make his appearance in the AAA's official web site. One of the member has blogged about him in one of the post. I only translated the part where he introduces Jae Joong.

TVXQ Jejung !

Oh he's a hot guy !
And his eyes twinkles ! (I think this is what he meant.)
Jejung has been very good to me !

I will go through Osaka next week with willpower .

From : Naoya Urata.

For your info, AAA is a group from Japan consists of both boys and girls.. and Naoya Urata is one of the members of AAA.

and its great that TVXQ had made friends with lots of great artist at Japan and getting known day by day..

Heres an old interview =x

[TRANS]The Boy Kimchi Magazine: The secret of TVXQ

Q: Heard that in Japan they won't let you greet fans at all?

Changmin: Yes, because their security system is very strict.

Q: Then what countries are you able to be close to fans?

Yunho: Korea and Indonesia.
Yoochun: In Thailand as well, in Vietnam we also played games.
Junsu: Hmm, but I still wonder...

Q: What about?

Junsu: How am I a fashion-trend for "Geng-Fashion" (As in a man with female heart, a man with more feminine sides).
Yoochun: Hahaha~ when you speak you say words that girls use~!
Changmin: Hyung, stop it.
Jaejoong: When we're in Thailand and Malaysia, I'd see we can get pretty close to fans.
Yunho: Yes, even though we always have bodyguards but we still see fans.
Changmin: Meet&Greet in Thailand we got to shake hands as well ^^.
Yunho: In Malaysia also, fans there are very nice.
Yoochun: Anyways, we have to thank you so much.
Jaejoong: At last we're back in Korea.

Q: How long have you been away from Korea?

Yunho: About a week.
Junsu: Just then, at the airport, there were so many people!
Jaejoong: Yes, so many people. They came to greet us ^^.
Yoochun: So touched.
Changmin: I heard staffs said they came to wait for us since dawn and by the time we got here it's noon.
Yunho: Thank you everyone.

Q: Talk about fanclub... has there been any weird approach?

Yoochun: Weird? Like Junsu, is he weird?
Yunho: Why do you say that?
Yunho: Weird, I think in Indonesia. We were greeting fans when suddenly a fanclub told me to take off my glasses because she wants to look at me in the eye.
Jaejoong: And so Yunho took off his glasses and looked at her in the eye.
Changmin: At first I though hyung wouldn't take it off, but he did.

Q: After that, what happened?

Yunho: I feel wavered/shaken
Changmin: Of course you did. Guards have to pull you off from there because fans pushed the fence until it was nearly broke!

Q: Who cares most for the fanclub?

Junsu: I think Jaejoong-Hyung. He really cares for the fans, even though guards told him not to, he'll secretly walk over to fans and wave.
Yoochun: When we were in Japan, we weren't allowed to get close to fans, and so something eventually happened....

Q: What happened??!

Yunho: It's Jaejoong! He went to greet the fans and shake hands until the fence between him and the fans collapsed!! (O.O!)
Changmin: I was actually watching as the fence collapse. And fans all gathered around Hyung. Think about it, hundreds of fans all gathered in crowds around Hyung alone. He disappeared in the crowd of fans.
Yoochun: Guards quickly ran to pull Jaejoong off from there and so he got scolded a bit.
Jaejoong: Was I wrong? I've been to Japan for like 2 days already and I still hadn't greet the fans yet.

Q: How does it feel like being in the crowd?

Jaejoong: FUN ^^
Junsu: Oh! Ok, can anyone please come and take Jaejoong Hyung's hand to the fans and let him be in the crowd again~!
Yoochun: It's ok if you don't speak. (// to Junsu)

Q: What's it like each time you meet fans?

Changmin: Like Junsu-Hyung he has his way of greeting fans.

Q: How?

Changmin: When I greet fans, I'll say "I miss everyone", "I love everyone" but if it's Junsu Hyung.....
Yoochun: If it's Junsu, he'd say "I miss you~~~~~~" "I love you~~~~ ><~~~" (I don't think there's no such words in English, but Junsu uses lame and sweet, girly kinda words instead of normal "YOU" and "ME".)
Yunho: Hahahaha. Yes, Junsu always speak like that.
Jaejoong: He like sweet-talking, like a sweet kind of guy.
Yoochun: Apart from sweet-talking, he also is the Fashion Trend for "Male with more feminine side" as well.
Junsu: Stop... let's change the subject...

Awww, thanks for uploading that interview Amyyk3. It's too bad Japanese fans can't actually get close to Tohoshinki, like in other countries. But Jaejoong sure is one to test the waters eh?

Hey thanks for the youtube upload Joanne! Sadly, I just couldn't take the poor quality of the video, even with subtitles. The print was so tiny! It was too much for me to try and read it all. Hopefully a better quality version will be up somewhere.
