if there is 5 different colored socks in a drawer, and the lights are off, and a person randomly digs in the drawer for a pair of socks, how many socks must the person pick in order to have a pair with the same color ... (i no its kind of confusing but try it)

IF THE ABOUT ANSWER IS CORRECT!!

once!! it's daylight...so it's easy to pair socks ne?
Posted 5/2/08
no... its at night... the answer is a number of how many socks must he pick in order for the pair to be same color... that is that assume the last you pick would be same color like dont assume that the first pair you pick is the same color

Zero. There are 5 different color, therefore he/she cannot draw 2 pairs socks with the same color.

okay!!! sry guys ima post a new one...

After teaching his class all about roman numerals (X = 10, IX=9 and so on) the teacher asked his class to draw a single continuous line and turn IX into 6. The only stipulation the teacher made was that the pen could not be lifted from the paper until the line was complete.
