Avon began tailing the party once again. He had thought about looking for the Fire and air staff himself but decided it would be too much work, stealing it from the trio would by far be much easier.
'With these staff's I can finally defeat my brothers and sisters." Avon thought with a snicker. "Father will definitly give the throne to me. And my status amongst the Gods will be redeemed"

The God of War, Vish, and Goddess of Fate, Sheila sat looking at their brother's misdeamnors, "That fool." Vish hissed, "What does he think he's doing meddling with the humans?"
"Father should have sentenced him to the 'Black abode' instead of sending him to earth for his punishment." Sheila said. "But Father has a soft spot for him and despite it all refuses to accept the fact that Avon will bring downfall to the Gods."
"The world is moving towards a great battle." Vish whispered, "It might not be such a bad thing if Avon is caught amidst it and happens to perish."
The two siblings looked at each other and smiled.

Mimic returned to the ruins that was once the pearl court, He knew there would be an answer on how to make the pearl work, here.
After hours of futile searching, he let out a frusterated howl. "Damn you." He said striking the ground with a green orb that caused it to disintegrate 8 feet.
Debris flew everywhere, and suddenly the ground started shuddering. Frowning, Mimic jumped onto his flying stingray.
The whole ground gaveway and the court began sinking. "Shit." Mimic muttered.
Just then four Heavenly beings rose from the pits of the court.
"Oh hello." They all waved. Mimic braced himself, they seemed dumb but considering they were Gods, it was better to be prepared. "We are bored with this place anyways, thanks to you destroying it we are finally free to leave it." One of them chirped.
"Yeah yeah." they all nodded ."As a reward we will give you the book of the pearl court."
And they tossed him the book. Mimic caught it and watched the four gods happily fly away.He looked at the book of pearl court and smiled his first real smile in ages. "Was it luck?" he said incredously . "No it was fate." With a cruel laugh he raised the book towards the heavens. "With this it becomes so much easier." Holding the book close to his heart, he flew towards the outer dark's deathyard and towards the awaiting pearl.

The goddess of Fate smiled and acknowledged the young man's salute. "It has begun." She told Vish, He nodded, War always excited him, to manipulate the unsuspecting humans was always a treat. "Now what will you do Avon?" He asked, with a sinister smile

The heat of the dry sandy desert of Juluriu caught the three in mid day, Turgon, taking a form of a camel, had the two ladies sitting each on a hump. "So our next course must be the final staff, the staff of air." said Racheal, "Like we have a choice. Mimic and Hollen probably has both the fire AND water staff. We have to get the air staff before they get it, and think of a way to get the two staffs from them." replied Gwen. "There's still the binding issue..." sighed Racheal, "And the issue with who's going to use the other three staffs? The nature staff told me the first time i used it, that only one can wield per staff." explained Gwen, "Correction. Once the five staffs are together we can combine them. Therefore all we need is the staff of air, which I could try to use, and with the three we could try to take back the other two staff and combine it." Turgon called out. "Good idea!" the two girls spoke in unison. "But..." the two stayed silent as he continued "We have no idea where to find the staff of air..."

***********************

"Finally! The truth about the pearl! But damn if the book could only tell their locations... The black and white pearl..." Mimic turned to Fruugrier, "We must venture out at once, and find the remaining ladies and capture one." he lead the three behind him up the stingray. "But sir we have no idea where they could be at this moment." said Fruugrier. "Then find them! I dont care how! Find those damned ladies!" screamed Mimic. Fruugrier took out a whistle from his pouch and blew it, no sound came out, but after a few seconds a score of dragonflies flew to him, and halted in mid air. "Find me the ladies of the court." he told the dragonflies, and in that moment they nodded and flew off. "How do you expect insects to find them for us?" Mimic sighed "They can listen to conversations, fly at an exceeding controlled speed, and they have the greatest vision compared to all lifeforms." explained Fruugrier with a bow, Mimic stayed silent and looked onward.

***********************

Avon scratched his head with great disapointment "What! What do you mean you lost track of them?" he scoled Ruun. "But master I..." Ruun tried to explain but Avon cut him off with a well placed hand "Forget it. We will just have to find the staff of air for ourselves..."

Ever since his banishment he had avoided humans, unless it was to manipluate or trick them.
Now to depend on such lowly creatures, He shuddered in disgust. He was better of on his own,
The clouds thundred up over head, 'Looks like Sister Faye is in a gloomy mood today." He muttered then clenched his fists in anger, "Not one of you beseeched on my behalf when Father banished me.I swear it, I will make all of you pay."
And with those words, Avon. the God of beginnings set in search for the staff of air.
*****************************

The dragonflies flew back to Fruugrer after a couple of hours. 'I see." He whispered to one of them. Casting a furtive look to his master, he gulped.
"Uh Master."
"You found them?" Mimic's low tone was emotionless.
"I know for a certain fact they are crossing the Juluriu desert, however during the trip, all three of them vanished."
Fruugrer's knees were shaking.
"I asked you how you expected insects to find them for us...Did I not Fruugrer?" The low tone sent shivers down Fruugrer's back.
"Forgive me Master." Fruugrer was crying.
Mimic snapped his fingers and immediately Fruugrer's body was set aflame. He screamed and writhed.
Mimc repeated the process with nails and then spikes. Releasing the spell just before Fruugrer passed out.
After ensuring that Fruugrer suffered enough, Mimic grabbed his head, "Find them." He said through gritted teeth, and whimpering Fruugrer dragged his body out the castle to look for them.

Thick foglike forms of sand brewed several meters high off the ground, concealing the entire desert floor. Hidden between two large rocks the trio cuddled together that cold night. Turgon took a form of an exceedingly furry humanoid beast, engulfing each in an arm, like a mother keeping her child save within her grasp. "It seems the closer we venture towards the staff, the harder the conditions we must travel on." murmured Racheal, shivering in the sheer strength of the icy winds that fly pass every once in a while. "The desert is tretcherous indeed. Extremely hot during the day, and the exact opposite during the night. And the damned storm keeps getting in my mouth and eyes!" Gwen complained. Turgon placed a large hand over her face to keep the incoming sands away. "You speak of cold and sand, when you are only getting a small fraction of what I'm shielding you from." Turgon chuckled, then began to whistle a fine tune, that slowly placed the two ladies under deep slumber, while he endured the weather for the rest of the night.

The lone man travelling the desert on his pet youma was most surpised to find the three people sleeping soundly in the desert. The youma, part tiger and part wolf whined a little, "No, Sasha, you cant eat them." The man tall and thin, with a dak beard. dark cloak and sunglasses looked out of place in the rough desert. Geting off the youma, he strolled over to the three.
Turgon's eyes flew open and he let out a roar, the ladies jerked away, But the man looked unfazed.
"Hello." He said a slow smile forming on his face. "Im Elric.Who may you be? And what bring you out here in this hot weather."
The three looked at him as if the man has gone mad. He chuckled. And folding his arm waited for them to answer his questions.
"Uh....Im Gwen and this is Racheal and Turgon." Gwen began hesitantly, The man nodded encouragingly, and Gwen continued more confidently, "We are searching for something. But we dont know where to look."
"Well if its in the desert than I'll know where it is." Elric said, "I know every inch of this place"
The three looked dubious, the desert was really big and there was no way the man could know every inch
"You dont believe me." Elric said laughing a little, "Well thats understandable." Then looking at them he said, "How rude of me. You are on my land and yet I have not offered you anything."
"On your land?" Racheal asked.
"Yes I rule this desert."
The three looked at each other, stunned and dropped to their knees, as per custom, trespassing was a very serious crime in most kingdoms.
"Please forgive us." Turgon said, "We were not aware of this."
The man laughed and waved his hand, "Oh please, I am very hospitable. Please you must accomapany me, I must properly entertain you."
"No thats oka-" Racheal began but the man was already summoning more youma.
Three youma rose up from sand and stood obediantly before the ladies and Turgon.
Looking at one another they shrugged and settled on the youma and began their journey to Elric's castle.

Through their trek across the vast desert they began to witness new life. At the pressence of their king, beings of all sorts began to surface out of the desert floor to greet their ruler. "Wow I would've never imagined this." said Gwen, amazed and in awe of her surroundings "Indeed." agreed Turgon and Racheal. "I never thought I would enjoy traveling in a desert." said Turgon, squinting and fazing away at the two squeeling ladies when they witnessed a larged castle slowly portruding from the ground. Their excitement could not be taken from their expressions as the thick doors of the man's kingdom creeked open to let them in.

The castle was large and magnicifent. Looking at the innumerable plants and ponds surrounding the castle it was hard to imagine that the palace was situated in the desert. The three were shown to their rooms, where the bathed and dressed up in clean clothes provided by the servants.
After that they met in the dining room where the awaited the King.
"Do you think he can be trusted?" Gwen whispered, hoping the others would answer in affirmative, she quite liked the king.
Turgon shrugged, Racheal remained silent. After a while the King came dressed in loose gowns, looking cool and relaxed, the glasses remained on his face.
"Please be seated." He said and as they settled they were served with food. After a small silence while everyone ate, the King began, "So what it is that you seek?"
The three shared a look then Rachael said, "We seek a powerful intstrument."

Avon grunted in displeasure. "Ruun, Juun, Chuun." He yelled. The three pixies zoomed upto him, bumping into each other in their haste."Have you found the air staff?" The pixies hung their heads dejectedly. "Curses." He screamed, flopping down on the ground angrily. He had been searching for a week now, but with no luck.
*******************

"A powerful instrument?" Elric murmured. He eyed the trio thoughtfully, Racheal continued, "It's in five peices actually, we have two of the pieces while the enemy has two also, the fifith peice, we are looking for it."
"Ahaan." Elric leaned back in his chair, "Is it the staffs of the nymphs?"
The three looked at him in shock, Elric chuckled, "It wasnt that hard to figure out, really." Then leaning forwards he said, "There is no staff in this desert."
The three looked disapointed, Elric smiled, "Hey don't look so down, I'll help you find the fifth staff?"
"Really?" Gwen asked eagerly. The king nodded.
"What's in it for you?" Turgon asked, trying to unsucessfully hide the suspicion in his voice.
"Ah that." Elric smiled serenly, "We can discuss later."

After carefully placing the pearl on a deceased demon Fruugrier closed the coffin and filled the hole with dirt. He pondered about many different reasons why he was instructed so, then shook his head and raised his shoulders with a sigh and stepped out of the outer dark, meeting the twos, both irritated from waiting, the three set off.

**********

Clouds scattered behind the great sting ray while Mimic stood strong and firm, his arms crossed and his eyes fixed forward while his hair whistled through the enormously strong gust of wind caused by the mount's incredible speed. A strange figure caught his eye for a split second, causing him to halt his mount. "Is that the rumored hidden kingdom in the desert?" he spoke to himself, then closed his eyes and channeled his mind with his innate dark powers and called for Fruugrier, "My servant, Answer my call." mimic said telepathically. "Yes master what can I do for you." replied Fruugrier. "I am about to check out this darn castle in the desert i just found, I heard a while back that a being named Elric was ruler of the Julurio desert, he may have some information we need. I'd like you to use the outerdark's teleporter and fix yourself on my location once I land." explained Mimic, "As you wish." said Fruugrier.
