This drama took place on
Akihabara, Akiba for short, a district in Tokyo that is full of mangas, anime, figurines, maid cafe's, cosplayers, electronics, video games and much more.
Otaku, commonly treated as outcasts in the society, are the fanatics of such themes.
The story focuses on a group of people composing of 6 Otakus namely Page, Box, Daruma, Taiko, Akira and Izumu. They were brought together by Yui, the one who made the website "Yui's Lifeguard" that tends to help people mainly Otakus through chatting online. These 6 Otakus were regular visitors of the site
and they sought relief on Yui's words.
When Yui died mysteriously because of an overdose of drugs, the group decided named their group as
Akihabara@DEEP (as suggested by Yui before she died) and will work as "trouble shooters" that vows to help and protect people of akihabara and akihabara itself. But the president of DigiCap (Digital Capital),a company that is very influential to the world's Information Tecnology and electronics, Nakagomi Takeshi, who had once a relationship with Yui but broke upbecause of opposite wills, attempts to help Akihabara@DEEP but had the hidden intention to destroy them in order to obtain Yui's AI which Izumu programmedand had developed its own will. Nakagomi thought that it would be a big thing for
the company so he tried to get it from them.
Together they will be on an adventure being trouble shooters, like helping a cosplayer a female reporter, solving problems between two maid cafe's and more.

Page
Page is @DEEP's leader. He had little communication with anybody so everytime he says something, he stutters and sometimes teased by other members especially when he says "A-a-a-a-al-right! P-l-l-l-la-a-aning t-t-t-time!" at the beggining of each mission but he has a computer aid that speaks every word he writes at it which later upgraded by Taiko to sound more likely of Page's voice. He barely used this in the drama. He has no particular expertise but he makes a good leader who thinks about the sake of its members or most likely, friends.
Ikuta Toma as
Box
Box is @DEEP's graphic art designer. He designed Akira's Webpage and also Akiba@DEEP's site.
He also designed Akira's fighting suit as well as costumes to be used in a cosplay event. He is obsessed with cleanliness that's why he wears a pair of gloves and changes them every two hours. He is also afraid of women that everytime he gets close to one, foam comes out of his mouth. But he is not afraid of the "2D women" such as maids, female reporters, figurines, girl cosplayers, female anime characters and such, because they are just for entertainment acoording to him. He suffers from these conditions because of his past.
Hoshino Gen as
Taiko
Taiko is @DEEP's music expert. He creates ringtones as a hobby and likes to play guitar and compose a song especially from his first love. He has the ability to know which voice is from who once he listened to it. He made the music effects of Akira and Akihabara@DEEP's webpage. Everytime he sees flashes of light, he suddenly freezes. His name came from a musical instrument to show his deep ability.
Himura Yuuki as
Daruma
Daruma is @DEEP's cosplay expert. He makes costume of some of the most famous
characters in anime, manga, cartoon, video games and more and he likes to mimicry them. He once made a Nobita (from Doraemon) costume. He was a shut-in person because he had no confidence dealing with people outside. Somehow, his costumes gives him a boost of confidence. He sometimes wears mask when going outside their office. He also worked as @DEEP's accountant.
Kosaka Yuka as
Akira
Akira is @DEEP's fighting maid. She is very well known in akihabara because of her strength and beauty. She is very good in martial arts and she participates in a cat-fight (a fight between women) every secong friday of the month. She also works as a maid in Akane-chin cafe. She provided the initial fund for Akihabara@DEEP by winning a huge amount during a cat-fight sponsored by Nakagomi Takeshi, the president of DigiCap. With this money, she rented an office which was formerly a crematory office, and bought computer parts, posters, mangas, figurines, electronics and more. Page, Box, and Taiko made her website while Daruma made her fighting suit.
Matsushima Hatsune as
Izumu
Izumu is @DEEP's hacking prodigy and programmer. In just seconds, she can access on somebody else's website or computer. She programmed Yui's AI which later developed its own will. Izumu cannot live without computer on her side. she suffers from a condition which causes her to have an icey-blue eyes. She had a big advantage with the other members because she have seen Yui often while the others only seen her once before she died.

Nakagomi Takeshi
Yui is the one who brought the members of Akihabara@DEEP together. They were all
regular visitors of her site "Yui's Lifeguard" where they sought relief about their problems
through her words. She once had a relationship with Nakagomi Takeshi, the president
of DigiCap, but they broke up because she wants to help people while Nakagomi wants to gain money.
Izumu created her AI, which replaces her when she's not around and when she died, which later
developed its own will and acted like Yui as if she was alive. Nakagomi Takeshi first helped
the Akihabara@DEEP anonymously but he had hidden intentions to destroy the group to get Yui's AI
which he thought would be very useful for the future of the company. He also like to eat lots of candies, esp lollipop and "umaibou"
Mickey Curtis as
Professor Wataru Hanzawa - He was Yui's and Nakagomi's sensei (teacher).
At the time when Yui and Nakagomi broke up, he and Nakagomi were developing a new OS and just when it was about to finish, Nkagomi stole it and sold it so that he could start a new company which is the DigiCap (Digital Capital). When Prof. Hanzawa new about akihabara@DEEP, he then warned them to be aware of Nakagomi.
Satoshi Matsuda as
Tousaka Naoki - He is a friend and a fellow programmer of Izumu. He once had a group like Akihabara@DEEP but he lost it to Nakagomi Takeshi, now he works for the DigiCap. In the end, he revenged Nakagomi by helping out Akihabara@DEEP to take back Yui's AI.
Masayuki Izumi as
Kounosuke Shimoyonagi - He is Nakagomi's assistant. He could never do anything but to follow the orders of Nakagomi to the point that he will wear cat ears, and such. In the end, he became the president of DigiCap because Nakagomi was fired as the president due to Tousaka's clever hacking of the company's finance but later arrested because Tousaka set him on a trap.
Youseff Lotfy as
Ajita - He is a sidewalk vendor of some fine second-hand items like computer parts, rare items and even illegal paraphernalia. He is assisted by his wife, Sati but when he got arrested for stealing some figurines at the office of Akihabara@DEEP, Sati adultered her and found another man. When he got out of jail, he continued selling stuff and then on assisted by their daughter.
