I'm betting Heath Ledger is going to surprise us as Joker. I think Christian Bale has been the best Batman yet and Michael Caine was a solid choice for Alfred.

Personally, I can't wait to see Crispin Glover as Grendel in Beowulf. I have no idea what direction they're going to go with it, but I'll bet it turns out damned interesting. Anyone actually see Willard? It's one of those movies that I've always thought looked interested, but never actually get around to seeing.

well im not saying heath wont bea horrible joker but i could see glover being soo much better he has the look and facial features already and i could juts see him fittin the character so well...and besides i think ledger is going to make the joker a little to "buff " we dont need the joker built like a bad ass he needs to be thinner and cunning looking
When does Beowulf come out?

I'm gonna say Marvel. I think they do a better job at developing their characters in ways they let you relate to them.

I don't think I can say one makes characters better than the other as they each have their own styles to them. Marvel characters tend to be more public figures like the Fantastic Four or Iron Man. They are also a bit more relatable to us like Peter Parker/Spider-man through school life early on, or his real personal issues he sometimes goes through. DC on the other hand makes some great other worldly character with lots of backstory like the Green Lantern or Superman, and sometimes the darker figures like Batman. Both also do women and ethnic characters on different levels too, from the female individuality strong (Wonder Woman, Storm) to the sexy playful (Black Cat, Catwoman). Overall I like them both for different reasons.

Marvel!!!! DC is too much of...Well, it has what I call "God Characters." Chimeras who have masses of power that makes the story somewhat less interesting... Kind of like DBZ. Those characters can destroy the entire planet on their own... Like Supper man.

My favorite marvel comic book story is the whole Civil War thing. I love it! I was just upset that Iron Man's side couldn't beat the enemy through martial valor and sheer power. They had to rely on the people... Normal, powerless, people… Citizens like you and me… *Sigh* That’s just…Well, it lacks the flare that I had hoped the final battle would have… Also, more people should have died. Though, it’s a bummer about Captain America… One thing I wonder though, where were the bloody “Cape Killers” in that fight? They were trained to take down supper heroes.

(Sorry mods. I already posted this reply in Batman vs. Iron Man thread but my post kinda pertains to this thread also. So I got to post it anyway. ^-^)

It's a headache when I'm trying to buy a comic whether DC or Marvel. There's a lot of comics to choose. Which superhero among a bunch of superheroes or which supervillain among a bunch of supervillains should I choose to read. Just one superhero or supervillain has different authors and has different storylines being squeeze between storylines. There are no consistencies.

So, I always end up buying a manga at the same store. ^-^

I was looking at this thread a while ago and then went to youtube to search of some oingo boingo videos and found out that the perfect Joker is Danny Elfman. (Oingo Boingo was his band) He truly has that insanity that joker has and an extremely creepy smile. Just watch his video for the song "Insanity"

If a picture tells a thousand words how many does a video?
I warn that this video is really creepy and truly insane.
