Do you lack knowledge of religion? Is that why all you could muster up was a "wtf?" or are you a CR whore trying to build points?

Hmm... I guess without religion, the world will have no laws or morals. I mean, it is in religion where you'll find most things like "forgive and you shall be forgiven" and "do unto others what you want others to do to you". Basically, you can trace most laws found in any country's constitution to a religion. Without religion, I guess the world wouldn't be as it is right now. Besides, without a God to fear, what's stopping you to do anything you wish like hurting someone or stealing things?

(correct me if I'm wrong) -_-

A very valid point! So in this case, you're describing religion as a political tool to stabilize the world?

I personally dislike religion because it's quite pointless to believe in an omniscient figure somewhere outside the universe. Almost all things are explained with science and physics. It's only useful for morals, but in a corrupt world like this it's quite pointless to practice them. If people want to follow religions then I'll just back off and let them do so. It's none of my concern.

To be honest, it really depends on what you define religion as. Is it something where you believe that there's a higher order of things other than our mundane politics( as in god), or is it something where I believe not everything is as it seems?

If those two questions fit the criteria for your question, then the answer is yeah!

I live without religion. Personally, there are asthetics that keep me at peace and "sane", and I never had the need for religion.

wow... there is really people like that.. you are the only one i know at least...

I myself am atheist but i know that ever since the start of the first human civilization, they have needed religion to help them. But not in the way we need help now. The first gods they worshiped were gods they believed to help them in war... so actually religion was created for war

Also the first civilizations worshiped nature more instead of "gods"

The more "peaceful" kind of god (example: Christian god) came out some time near the middle ages

sooo... i can't imagine a world without religion. Though individuals can live without religion, I just can't seem to think of a world without any trace of religion at all...

Did you assume that everyone believed in God, even a little, or had some sort of religion? Wow, I had no idea there were people like that. Add me and that makes two people you know who are "like that."

Well of course religion will always remain in our world. Through culture, behaviours, language, and everything! I am most likely kind due to religious beliefs seeping into the culture, but in the end, I still don't believe my whole life was a set up.

Exactly! But then, most wars are caused by religious conflicts and there has been historical records of people being forced to convert to the religion of the country that invaded theirs so...

Maybe what I'm trying to say is that religion became a guideline in making most of the laws found in every country today x_x

I dont know. For me religion keeps me believing that someone out there knows what Im going through and is supporting me all the way. I know it sounds corny. But its what keeps me going on throughout the day.

Meh, Religion is already a part of my life. But, I'm not really a religious person. It's just that, whenever I disobey my religion laws, I kinda get disbturbed with it. ><

But yeah, I want to be a Pagan
