Blu-Ray. Too much latency, too expensive. DOA when digital distribution ramps up. HD video is overrated when people still buy decidedly non-HD CRT TVs (and put my back out when I have to move them to their car). Blu-Ray is just unnecessary when flash/magnetic storage gets smaller with increasing volumes.

I hate Blu-Ray! It looks like Disney Channel stuff and Blue's Clues and when it's used for 3D graphics it looks so ghetto!

Wow that was a very moronic answer.

Blu-ray beat out high-def. I'm pretty sure it will soon be the "norm" for consumers.

By the time there is a better format then Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray will already be considered the norm, and we will have pretty much dealt away with DVDs. Which means people like yourself will be whining about how "gay" the better format is because of its higher price or how it "sounds (???)"
This is of course based on the idea that a more superior format wont miraculously be able to be mass distributed to consumers before blu-ray has chance to get into everyone's homes.

*edit*
A TV can not be better then Blu-Ray because they are two completely different things.
To watch high-def TV all you need is a HD TV and to subscribe to HD channels through Dish Network, for example.
Blu-Ray is a disk format.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that you're talking about two different things.

I'm still stuck with CRT, Blu-ray won't mean anything to me save for being pricey... for the meantime.
