Taking great pictures, since photography as a whole is still a new thing for me, cooking and eating fantastic food, traveling, ancient history, reading an obscene amount of books, and of course drinking great wine with friends and family. There is more I am sure, but I won't name everything...

Sound production, cinema studies, screenwriting, cooking, gardening, learning languages, hiking, boating, technical theatre, soccer, kendo, emergency medicine, and violin. The last three aren't developed as much as I'd like, but talk to me again in six months and I'll be a lot more confident.

Eros wrote: hum, simpleyesa, I've noticed you have a trend to start simple question threads like this without first sharing yourself! You want, but do you give! Glad you finally noticed that. LOL. I'm fond of stalking other people's classified infos (LOL), I’m a terrorist's wife (kid, kid), I’m a killer (and already killed a dozen. haha).Kidding aside, I love music and fashion; I design and reinventing clothes. I love collecting 'pirated' DVDs (hehe), I love cooking (wish I can bake.), I’m a blogger (though only my friends replies on my blog), I’m a pet lover (obviously; and we're breeding dogs), I’m dying to master my guitar lessons (so that I can proceed to drums; oh well, lessons for free.), I love taking pictures of myself (damn narcissistic). So far, those are the things that interest me. EDIT: i love math; all about calculations. |

Geek interests - Anime, Video Games, Japanese pop culture, D&D, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, the usual roundup (no need to go in depth with the crowd here), though I would like to highlight “vintage gaming” – since I couldn’t play console games growing up, I’ve been making up for lost time by collecting old games and game systems.
Technology - Well, I am an engineering technology major so I suppose this is technically an interest though I'm not terribly passionate about it. It is cool getting to learn how things work and I am anxiously looking forward to being able to build things of my own design. One day, you’ll turn on the news to see me rampaging the countryside in a Mecha I made in my backyard… Non-Geek interests - Travel is undoubtedly my greatest love and I relish the chance to go anywhere, particularly somewhere new. I've been to about a dozen countries and 40 states. The next trips I'm planning are a 99.99% for sure trip to China (internship) and eventually a trip to Paris (with a possible detour to see some wine country) which is still in the the very rough planning stages. It's going to depend if I can milk an extended Tokyo layover out of my China trip or not. Alcohol - I used to work in a fairly nice liquor store (not obscenely upscale, but we did do wine tastings and such), so I've come to have an appreciation for quality alcohol, particularly single malt scotch, wine, and craft beer (microbrews and imports). I've actually got a nice little wine collection going, but most of it's too nice for me (like $30-50 bottles) to rationalize opening casually so I still buy most of my wine spontaneously. The Arts - Such as art, literature, music (as in classical), poetry, etc.. I'm not as into those things as I should be, but I've been getting progressively more into them over the years. Any time I have a chance to attend a concert, play or art exhibit that interests me I'll do my best to go. I've been building a fairly decent library over the years, but I've got a ways to go. One of my highlights from my trip to Europe was my visit to the Alte Pinakotek in Munich. History - I've always been fascinated by history. I've recently become a wikipedia junkie, soaking up tons of "5 minute histories" as I like to call them. I also enjoy visiting historical sites whenever I can while traveling. Old Interests – These are things I used to be passionate about, but now I either despise or more likely just don’t care about anymore. Metal – I used to be a huge metal head, particularly Black Metal though I listened to most anything underground. I have a huge Metal library (on original CDs) I accumulated back before you could download anything you wanted easily online. I can probably count the Metal CDs I’ve bought in the last 4 years on one hand. Last concert I went to was Slayer back in 2003. I have a ton of my old metal “gear” in storage now (like shirts, black cargo pants, my old trench coat, etc.). I was also somewhat involved in the goth thing. Though I don’t think I’d ever have called myself a goth, I was certainly familiar with and around the culture. Neo-Paganism – Back when I was younger and stupid, I was into the whole neo-pagan thing. As far as I’m concerned, it’s just one huge glorified LARP for trailer trash and rebelling suburban teens. But I’m absurdly knowledgeable about it, as well as world religions in general. Star Wars/Star Trek - I was a big trekkie back when I was very young (I remember being horribly depressed when the canceled TNG back in ’94), and I ended up switching over fully to Star Wars. I was obsessed with Star Wars. I played games like X-Wing, Tie Fighter and Dark Forces, collected old merchandise (especially the toys), and read the books. I kind of got out of it sometime my sophomore year in high school, but I still considered myself a fan. Then Lucas had to piss all over everything by making new movies that sucked and I haven’t been into it all since. One of these days, I actually plan on doing a fanfic version of what episode I-III should have been. |
