WHY IS IT LICENSED!!!!????!!!

As I understand it, it's not licensed in the US, just Media Factory (the Japanese company that owns it) throwing their lawyers about again. And they genuinely would get a site shut down for having it, because unlike US companies that are used to fansubs, a lot of Japanese companies are still offended by them and rightfully so.

Think about it: to the Japanese it's not just their overseas market; anyone in Japan who knows the language could watch a fansub and understand the Japanese spoken. Neither market has to buy the DVDs if they have high quality raws or fansubs to slap on discs. It's a real concern for them.

Respect that, because if everyone turns to illegal copies it'll affect the quality of future series (and Media Factory seems to do well when it comes to quality, they must be doing things right).

It's been licensed by ADV in America. ADV probably had a hand in partially funding the production of Soul Eater in Japan and in turn were given the license right off the bat. Hence why it got licensed so quickly. That and anime distro companies like ADV, FUNimation, and Media Blasters are closely watching the market in Japan. What hits it big over there will normally get snatched up right away.

Here's the thing guys. Licenses are good. Why? Because it brings anime over to a different pool of consumers (Us in America, UK, etc...). The more consumers you have the more money you make. The more money you make the more anime can be made.

Now this is only possible if you happen to BUY THE DVD's that come out for your favorite anime. Believe it or not anime is in REALLY big trouble in both America AND Japan because of free loading leechers that do nothing but sit on their asses and watch fansubs all day. To people like that: I hope you all die.

Exactly. You all should search on your own to verify this instead of just taking someone's word for it. This series is definitely not licensed. Only the manga just recently got licensed by...Yen Press I believe? But trust me, I've checked, and there's not a single place on the internet that I've been able to find that lists this series as licensed. AnimeSuki has removed the series at a company's request, but not because it was licensed.

Just trying to help clarify for someone of you who are still insisting on its license status.

quicker my ass, you mean a year later. thats the only thing that sucked, that these leechers jsut think of themselves, while people like me would love to watch it til the end, and still buy the licensed dvds.
