WHY IS IT LICENSED!!!!????!!!

I don't have a problem of series getting licensed, but it's just when they immediately get pulled off of CR that bothers me. At least let us finish posting the episodes or when the DVDs come out. They say to support the license holders, but it's kind of hard to when there isn't anything to buy. When series get licensed before they're finished like this, they should at least have a policy of taking episodes off when their DVDs are released.

seems like we got some idiots who don't know what licensing means, and that it's not crunchyroll that decides it, and it is nothing bad for the anime. Just buy it, everyone can spend a few currency on DVD's.. just dont use it on booze, smoke, candies, cinema's, cell phones.. e.t.c


I agree to the one above me, it is a bit weird.. makes people wait longer -.- *they dont want us to see what happens before we buy the DVD's* although I buy them anyway (when I got money)

i just watch this and other anime all over the internet they can never remove anime fully from the net

Does anyone know who has licensed it? I know that someone mentioned ADV but if they have there is nothing mentioned yet on their site. I would just like to know where to look for dvd releases and other info so if anyone has any reliable information i would appreciate it.

seriously you guys, there are other sites to download soul eater from like youtube and veoh
soul eater is licensed because greedy Americans realized how popular this anime is and decided to buy it out to make some $$. duh.

if crunchyroll kept this series on it's site, it'd be illegal and the site would get sued. then shinji would have to pay lots of money to the owners of soul eater, crunchyroll would prolly be shut down and we'd have to find a new place to watch anime

I'll move to Japan and watch there lolz jk jk

well.. its sad that it is licensed.. but stop swearing n cursing crunchyroll/shinji as this is not under their control. They are simply abiding rulez..

The answer for why it's licensed/not waiting to finish before banning is:

1. half the people here wouldn't want to spend money buying a dvd when they've already seen what happens... free of charge, so waiting for all the episodes to come out would cause them to lose potential customers

2. BECAUSE it's a hot series, these types of animes get swept up quickly since they have the most chance of making profits for the companies (also, when they license a series before people get to see more than one or two episodes and there's nothing to buy, that creates buildup for when it DOES come out... people appreciate things more when they have to wait for it...)

3. blaming the site creator (being shinji) doesn't make a bit of difference (other than ticking off the creator)... he's providing (mostly) free services for people to watch anime (in the usa, this may be a form of pirating, which is illegal), and if someone from the company tells him to take a series off and he doesn't, they can sue for copyrighting issues and shut down the site...

Now tell me, would you rather have other anime that you may find just as good as soul eater/bleach/naruto/etc., or watch these licensed animes and risk the site shutting down permanently? Don't know about you, but i'd like to keep the site up, thank you. Anyways, if the series means that much to you and you want to see it bad enough, you'll support the series by buying the dvds

Um there's been no official licensing announcement by an american distributor. People need to get it into their heads that Japanese companies have copyright that is protected by international law. Even if a NA company doesn't license the Japanese licensor can send in a cease and desist order <.<

A lot of animes have been licensed but its not CR's fault. Popular animes are getting licensed (perhaps the producers want to get money)
