Why cant they all just be friends??? i know they both come from WAYYY!!! diffrent leagues BUT STILL!! why cant they just be friends!!! its gettting so annoying to hear popular kids talk about Uggs and other things!!
It doesnt really seem fair dat Dorks get beat up i feel srry for em!! Even though dorks arent rich....the popular kids dont need to show off with everything the've got...Its School we came to learn!!! not to show off clothing!!!!

difference between dorks and popular kids is the amount of social proof and confidence the popular kids have. Popular kids are like magnets and draw attention... Let me explain to you using this example

Mr X is extremely popular, he attracts many girls around him that talk to him. He enjoys conversations with the females and his other guy friends. he is having fun. Girls and guys alike view this from afar and wonder "what is it that makes him so attractive" therefore generating a sense of curiosity to get to know him. Thus, his social group gets bigger and bigger, and the # of people he knows increases.

On the other side of the spectrum, we have Mr Y. who is extremely quiet and has low self esteem. He has long told himself that he would never be able to attract any kind of friends or females into talking or going with him. He stays quiet for his whole life... Done.

See the difference? Mr X. is confident Mr Y. has low self-esteem.

well i agree since i dated a non popular becus he seemed really nice and to prove my point that we came to learn but the reason the populars are like that becus they were probably brought up to act like that but all popular kids are not mean and snobbs even though most of my friends are snobbs but you didn't hear from me

Umm...people at my school have dorks that are popular. My cousin is one of them -_- But I'm not one...I think...
And it mostly depends on where you live where bad things happen to them...o_o And yes I do agree with you, yup yup.

well... i agree with the "why cant we all be friends" part..
but in the other hand.. not all "popular kids" talk bout Uggs && those other stuff.
&& not all "dork" get jumped.

It's not peoples fault if thier clothes are expensive, && they can afford those clothing, && its not thier fault if they are able to afford the latest technology && shoes. What else are they suppose to wear ?
&& you cant really blame "dorks" for being dorks. no one told them to be like that.
&& if you really look into it. the "popular kids" are the ones who talk alot && who arent shy.
&& the "dorks" are shy && tends to have low self esteem.

&& plus.. to don't believe in this "popular kids", "dorks'' , or any other cliques.
It's just all sterotypes. We are all people. We aren't classified into certain groups just because of the people we hang out with, or cause of the way we dress, or the music we listen to, or whatever. so really.. there aint no difference.

Its good you pointed that out that they were brought up to be like that... You're extremely correct.

Lets use another analogy to verify your idea.

Lets say we have george, a 6 year old boy who loves to run around the house naked. His mom and dad always laugh and act happy when he runs around nude so george continues to run around the house nude.

However one day grandma decides to visit and sees george running around the house nude and instantly tells george to put his clothes back on with a serious face. George turns to look at his parents who both share the same face as grandma. George puts his clothes back on and never runs around the house nude again.

See what i mean? Humans tend to incorporate a feeling to an action. So if we're talking about a dork. He's probably tried to ask some girl to go out with him. he fails and incoporates failure to the action confessing and sadness. Therefore he slowly becomes and transforms to become the introverted guy he is now and is called a "dork". On the other hand if we had a good looking guy who was never rejected. He builds the right mindframe and becomes popular.

There's no dork just emos or shy people or people with bad habits (bad chlothing choice bad breath etc.) or sometimes people with a bad physique (fat people etc). All the popular kids are just normal or hot kids cause they are willing to play or talk with other people i think.

Uhm...who's the dork your'e talking about? Cause i see many popular kids that are "dorks" who hang out with not so smart people but are popular. I dont know how i can properly answer your questions but its easy to say that there are some smart popular ppl and that, not all popular people talk about "uggs?" but they do talk about "other things" like you mentioned. And its true what you said about the clothes. That's the only thing i can agree with you. If i base what your'e saying to a show i watched, then i can compare to it. I can't really say that i completely agree with you.

Confidence.
That's all there is to it.

But then there's the annoyingly popular people
who wear brand name crap and flaunt
how rich their parents are cause they use
their daddy's money to buy their 80 dollar shoes ;]

Orangian, yes, I agree what you've said.
But it might not be like that for other schools...it really depends what school your in...
And I've also been noticing being a "dork" is cool...-_-
They are using that word as something "popular" kids like to use for themselves...
Which kinda does annoy me me
That's kinda the way it is where I am.
