It doesn't offend me, I dont think it offends anyone if youre interested in the culture. Its just people who are fucking annoying who do everything as if they were Japanese (Or what they think Japanese culture does from what they've seen in anime) and curse whatever nationality they are and the country they live in and praise Japan are fucking idiots that deserve a terrible death.

I second this. I don't think it's annoying if someone is interested in my culture; but what DOES annoy me is when they're starting to think that they're Japanese/Asian and goes around thinking they know everything about my culture when they don't.

I always laugh when people say: "I going to live in Japan! ^____^"

I'm going to start learning Mandarin, my city has the best Chinese classes outside of China, literally. I plan on going to China sometime but only for a few days. :l

Ive got a problem with people who flaunt thier interest in oriental stuff. use japanese words, just to show off, when they cant speak it worth shit. or when they read untranslated mangs in public enen though they can barely read it themselves.
I have a couple family members who were raised in japan, and its a normal country that people overrate.
Im moving to osaka soon, but never will you see me running around like a stupid otaku

you aren't trying to act like an asian person are you? and even if you did it wouldn't be offensive, just silly.

What if there was like a black guy who was born in Japan, and he moved to America when he was 17, so he acted like a Japanese person but you didn't know that, would you think that its silly still since you didn't know.

No brother. Matter infact Street Fighter (Akuma), Anime, Samurai, Yakuza, Mafia, and my on ideas of being a man shaped my style and discipline. Plus I prefer playing games in the Japanese voice overs like SA2 and SSBM. But don't forget to have a sense of reality kids.
