first mine had graphical problems and the second time it didn't read any Cd's.

just keep it in a dust free, well ventilated area, i have 5 friends, myself included, who havent got the RROD, bcs we keep our consoles in expansive spaces, with good air circulation,

and when microsoft replaces ur console for free, when it RRODs, they make a loss, so you cant say theyre all slacking to make profits

and the new 360 chipsets, the falcon chipset and the upcoming valhalla chipset is designed to eliminate the RROD problem

Actually MS has managed to get the red rings down to 15%. Try and find a system that was produced after August of 07.

And in the case of MS, they were rushing, not slacking. They wanted to get the next gen system out there so that it could attempt to start making money for them. Sadly, unlike PS3 flaws, the Xbox flaws could not be fixed by firmware updates.

Another thing you might try, make sure your XBox has PLENTY of ventilation. The main cause of the red rings of death is over heating.

3rl - three red lights, that what we call your version of RROD in the Pinas. No wonder when i searched the net for 3rd i got very low search points, RROD is the official name for that. I encountered it twice in my falcon unit but no problem after i was able to play it.

wel my cousins PS3 oerheats cause he puts it in an tight space...so what have you learnt...keep you concole where it is well ventilated!

I've had my 360 for about 2 years now give or take a couple months, and no problems whatsoever. Maybe you guys play too much.....

the ring of light on the front of an Xbox 360 flashes red and it indicates some major trouble is about to go down.
So bye bye to your xbox. Although there are some stuff that may work that doesn't mean you have to repair it like unplugging the cables, plugging them back and rebooting. But it doesn't always work.
