CLANNAD, AIR, and Kanon, were all based on games made by the company Key. Each one has an anime adaptation made by KyoAni. Key's latest work, Little Busters! is, I think, set in the fall. There is no news of an anime based on LB! right now. But I've got a feeling one will get made, maybe in a few years. However, Key has also made a number of other games, such as Planetarian, which some people want to see an anime of more. So, who knows, really.

Yea I noticed this. It was obvious because each one left me with a severe case of heartbreak. Three of the best series to anime, so very depressing, just goes to show geniuses don't lose their touch, that's a good sign. ^^

@josh1002: Not really. There are some consistent themes, but each character is at least a little different. Misuzu acts a lot different than Fuko, and the angel wings never appear on her. Ayu's angel wings were only as she vanished. Also, Misuzu looks not much like Nagisa, Misuzu had long, blond hair in a ponytail (for most of the series) and blue eyes. She also didn't have the ahoge(those hair antenna). So no, they are quite a bit different.

Because they are all based on romance visual novels. Only the first versions of Kanon and AIR were eroge, though AIR had a lot less. CLANNAD never had any 18+ content, being all-ages from the start. Little Busters! was all-ages when released, though an 18+ version is being made, which also adds a new character. I really hope LB! gets an anime soon. Probably after CLANNAD season 2, and whatever else they do right after that. As I said earlier, LB! is set in the fall, so it would complete the 'four seasons' thing.

LB! stands for Little Busters!, the game Key released last year. They did a "deluxe version" earlier this year. It's set in the (early) second semester, which in Japanese schools, would be fall. Haven't been able to play it yet, but the story and characters seem to be pretty good. Some people complained since it has a somewhat different feel than Key's previous works.
