I usually mask it by saying other words in place of the swear like "Oh my geez." I also do not want to use the lord's name in vain. I typically do not want to swear because I think people just deserves better and it fuels anger. I do swear sometimes when I drive, but recently I've been getting used to not saying it. I mean it is easy to get over the habit of swearing if you have some other sentence to mask swearing.

The more you use it around your peers/friends/etc...the less impact and value it'll have when it counts. Also, many points I could make without using a single curse. Nowadays I mostly use it to goof off among friends and even then, it's not frequent. On a much more rare occasion, I'll use it when my fuse has been lit (which takes quite a lot to do -- I'm a pretty tolerant guy). Overall, I try and refrain from it's use for those reasons primarily...well that, and I feel an over excessive use of it makes one look childish...BUT that's my opinion.
