For people who like romance, anything by Nora Roberts is good. The young wizards series by Diane Duane is really good to, for fantasy lovers.

I'm going to have to go with Ender's Game, written by Orson Scott Card. I've never read another book quiet like it.

Except, of course, Cards other works.

Hmm, I don't read near as much as I should but here are some favorites in no particular order:

LOTR - Tolkien
American Gods - Neil Gaiman
Childhood's End - Arthur C Clarke
Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde (probably my fav)
The Sun Also Rises - Hemmingway
Great Gatsby - Fitzgerald
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglass Adams
Lovecraft in general

I've got a library of hundreds of great books I never seem to get around to reading though...
