Its no news, no matter how many times our government lecture Kim Jong Il, their junche idea is still their so called "Pride of the songun state".

Bush was right about this, most of their Economic income primarily goes to military development while starving its people. the US govt together with the UN's commision on human rights and the UN food programme constantly sends food there but the NK gov't sells them to their own people making it very difficult for the UN to deal.

so... no matter how many times a crunchyroll user posts threads about North Korea. we still dont have the power to stop their stupidity. All we got left is to say stuff like "kin jong il is a bad man". we got nothing else to do about that country.

At the very least, telling the world about their actions can at least keep us less ignorant, and just maybe, just maybe some day we'll do something about it; while if we don't know any thing about it in the first place, where/how do we even get the will to even DO anything ABOUT IT? x_x

so yeah, I guess it's a good idea to post North Korea crap here on the internet, now more fokes that didn't know the details can know...

I know, but some people really don't seem to realize that people are starving in North Korea. They continue to try to deny it. That's the main reason I posted it.

well you did good it expressing this opinion. I appreciate it much. a couple of documentary filmakers risk their lives in just videotaping the impoverished people in the north. cameras and the media are strictly and sacredly forbidden in the impoverished areas, thats why most people fail to see that majority of north korea will be the next somalia and darfur..

If nothing else, stay aware of it and wait for an opportunity to do something.

Really I think the people who are in the best position to fix North Korea are the Chinese government. I wish they'd just invade NK or something and at least bring it up to mainland Chinese standards. Only problem is that they might not give it back to the rest of Korea after that.

Still, it's sad how they don't try to make life harder for Kim Il.

Nah because then you'd get a Tibet kind of situation. I think the world wouldn't stand for it.

Fact. Asia is practically running out of rice. And the price for rice imports are pretty much getting higher. Damn you Asia stop eating so much rice! Save some for the rest of the world will you!

Well true, but do you really reckon that it would help NK? I mean look at what they did to Tibet, imagine they would do the same thing to NK but then no one would know. And also China would most likely just keep NK the same they did with Tibet, personally I don't think the UN would allow that and certainly not the US. I just don't see it happening.

NK is prolly the most isolaed country in the world. They'll be feeling this food shortage more than us (since starvation and famnes are pretty much common outside pyongyang)
