well as far as what i've read and understand in the manga, the Genesis wants ( or should i say it was Simca who decides about it ) Ikki to be their new king yet something happened and it would take me so long to explain it ...man, my advice is try to read the manga for sure u'll now the reason why

Isn't whats- her name from Tool-To-to... (don't know how to spell it) making a storm regalia for him? Wouldn't that make him a king then?

ya he is a king, the old man named him storm king after sora and nike stole the sky regalia, but that wasnt in any part of the anime, just the manga

Let me clear this up... Ikki is not the sky king but the Strom king Sora used Ikki to get his hands on the prototype of the sky regelia so now Sora is still the sky king because he has the sky regelia Ikki is announced the storm king but doesn't get his regelia till after the tourament so storm king is still up for grabs

no no no. what sora get from ikki is the prototype of wind regalia not the sky. sky regalia is without a holder and prize of the tournament right now
