i thought the movie was pretty good. i think as long as you go into it knowing it takes place in some kind of alternate universe you'll be fine.

though still haven't figured out why they made this movie.

idiots as if he can love her like he did, he's now the 1 who has to teach her everything and if they ever did do a second movie to follow this 1, they would portray renton as a older brother to eureka now that they went and fucking made her lose her memories jesus get a brain people.

thanks dickheads @ eureka seven, go ruin the movie with some shitty ending you saw on elfen lied

The movie plays off a different story line than the tv show. In my personal opion it was a descrase to the show. There were some editions that were good, but overall I thought it to be a poor remake. Not to mention the roles of a large majority of the characters changed as well. What Iwould recommend if you still want to see it is wait for it to come out online and just watch it then. Don't bother spending money on it. But please remember this is just my personal opinion.

the movie is a 7.5 out of 10

the action is the only good part about it if you are in to mech fighting

but the story line is just stupid. most of the time i am thinking that this would mach up with the anime like full metal alc. but no. this is a different story all together. the voice acting was sub par. and i got lost in the big long boring middle of the anime. sure they have a boring middle but this was to much.

i saw the movie with my friend that likes anime never saw the tv show and my little sister that dislikes every thing.

what they think

sis 2 of 10
friend 7 of 10

i will say that the ending is much better than the tv show. the only part of the movie that is better than the tv and i just dislike ep. 50 there is too much of a lose end there. if they had the movie happen rite after the end of the tv show i think it would have been better.

i think that if you see this forget about the tv show and see it as a different thing all together. some times the best way to think of something

I thought it was great seeing a showing of the movie in the theater!! How often do you get to see Anime on the big screen?? I also enjoyed watching the "Making of" and out takes, afterwards (which a bunch of people got up and left right after the movie). The outtakes were priceless . Because the movie wasn't advised like normal, it felt like an exclusive viewing.

As for the movie, I really liked it. It was confusing at times, but so was the Series, at times. I think watching the "Making of" helped to understand why the Director did what he did and how it would be a difficult task to make everyone happy. I also agree, that going in knowing it was a "re imaging" is helpful.

I am a big fan of the series and thought it was neat how they kept all of the old characters but some of them had some personality changes or thrown into different rolls. Eureka and Renton both seemed stronger as characters, which i liked. I give it an A+ for geeks night out.

Thank you for this lol
I agree 110%

I think if anyone actually saw the ending extras they would find the movie to be just as great as the Series.
