What do you hate most when you watch an Anime?
|
Whiny, pathetic, useless main characters
|
|
believes that D-Frag and Nisekoi deserve an anime

The inevitable end of a season. It feels like the Fall season started two weeks ago and it's half over already for some series.

I gots internet, YAY!

hm i hate when they make filers or when rhetorical scenes happen

1. I watch anime in bed so I HATE having to lie down or sit up to ease the stress on my back
2. Decide whether to watch subbed or dubbed OMG TOO TOUGH (tho usually just dubbed unless can't or fav sub VA) 3. Video quality and quality of the subtitles!!! - proper engrish please!! animeultima usually solves that problem though and of course....da crunchy roll |

I'm just saying~

The fillers. THE FILLERS.
All the talking. During a fight. I mean, if it were me, and I'm fighting someone who's describing their powers or talking about their life as we are fighting, I'd probably use that to my advantage and kill them already. Ain't got no time for your monologues, man. |

Truly excessive fanservice. THAT will turn me off to an anime faster than anything. Some fanservice I can deal with. But if that is all there is to a series, I'll lose it in a heartbeat.

When you watch an entire series and the end is vague or disappointing without a season 2
Video problems and they do happen and everybody do says this or that when its the website problem. Newer or younger fans that dont know anything about older anime titles like Cowboy Bebop,Ghost in the Shell,FLCL Sailor Moon.and dont appreciate how much work went into them as compared to now.Hey I like the new cleaner artwork but the older titles didnt have HD etc. |

Stuck somewhere in the swamps of jersey.

1. Excessive fanservice. It's killed many a show.
2. The whole Yamato Nadeshiko ideal. Why the hell hasn't Japan had a feminist movement? What do they think is going to happen? For such a technologically advanced, perverted country, they still have a long way to go in that field. Now, done right, it can make for some pretty good characters, but it's still rather sexist. 3. Weak-willed beta-male protagonists. I've seen them in just about every rom-com under the sun. They don't even stand up to the tsundere female leads! What the fuck? Are Japanese men really like that when it comes to women? 4. Fillers. Especially if they're jammed in the middle of another story arc. 5. Bad endings. I've seen too many shows that ended in cop-outs. 6. Lolicon. It was bad enough having a violent porn fetishist stigma on our fandom. We don't need a pedo stain on top of it! 7. Padding. I'm looking at just about every long shounen epic ever. It's why I dropped One Piece and Fairy Tail. 8. Shows that don't know what they are. Horizon, Arcana Famiglia--who the hell wrote this crap? Vince Russo? 9. Period pieces set anywhere between World War II and the last half of the Bush administration. What the hell is wrong with people from those decades? It's called a cell phone, people. It's much faster than a landline. (Exceptions: Kids on the Slope, because it's from the same guy behind Cowboy Bebop. Black Lagoon? Too badass to even care).* 10. Old slice-of-life shows. They just haven't aged well. (See #9) *This doesn't apply to just anime. |

(my list applies to both anime and manga.)
One-dimensional characters, especially females. Honestly, no one is going to murder you if you give a girl an actual personality that isn't X Y or Z archetype. Most filler arcs in general, but especially when the art suffers during them. *cough* Bleach *cough* Lack of punishment or negative feedback from other characters when one acts in a socially unacceptable way. You can't kick a classmate in the head or threaten someone with a baseball bat or something and not get in deep trouble. Sometimes this is fine, like if law/rule enforcement is lax or something, but if you're at a typical high school this behavior shouldn't go unnoticed. Incest. Just... no. Especially since I have an older brother myself, I can't even fathom how you can have those kinds of feelings for an older sibling and I don't understand why it seems to be popular in anime/manga/light novels nowadays. Squick. Over-the-top fanservice. Give me a boobs-'n'-butt pose or a random pantyshot and I'll hang my head in disappointment. |

Hm.

|

I got one.
Being disturbed by people who dont watch anime, especially if it is to say something to the effect of "Why are you watching a shitty cartoon?". |

That was too close, you were almost a Jill Sandwich.

Although it's more a matter of how "time" is than how anime is. Time goes by way quick. I'd say I'm at Ben Johnson speed right now. |

Sudden endings with nothing resolved, which apply to a lot of anime unfortunately.

It hate the "dragonball z syndrome", this happens in the popular shonen animes like naruto and bleach. I dislike it because of the constant staring contest between characters that sometimes last an episode! That doesn't mean I hate the shonen animes because I love DBZ, naruto and bleach!!

I hate the fact that I have to wait one week to watch an episode of anime thats still airing.
|
|
ugh, I hate being sick...even if I'm off of school...
|

1. Fillers
2. Useless characters 3. Too much talking 4. Bad endings (I hate this one the most) |
