What do you hate most when you watch an Anime?

Especially annoying when it's coming form both sides. (Kimi ni Todoke is a great example) You can't fault Spice & Wolf for capturing how complex medieval live really was. Lawrence's attitudes on slavery would have gotten him a lot of friends in the antebellum South. New countries really did come and go in medieval "Europe". Abusive tsunderes: Don't get me started on Familiar of Zero. I would fucking beat the crap out of Louise for abusing Saito the way she does. Inconclusive endings are a middle finger to the viewers. We're entitled to far better--just ask the Mass Effect fanbase. Clip shows = fail. Shoujo's been dying on me because of all the cliched plots! I've read up on Say, "I love you"--I saw it back when it was called His & Her Circumstances! There's some great shoujo anime (Escaflowne, Fushigi Yuugi, Peach Girl, NANA, Glass Mask, and Hanasakeru Seishounen come to mind), but I've seen plenty of crap (Pretear, anyone?). Yeah, Spice & Wold was great, and I don't fault it, but the politic explanations were a bit choppy to me, but maybe I should re-watch it. You have great taste in shoujos, by the way, those were all really good. |

I've also got Wedding Peach. Both the TV series and OVA.
At least ADV didn't turn the dub into a fucking Macekre like DiC did with Sailor Moon. So I keep it around. |

Flashbacks are overused
There are numerous lines overused, "even if it means my life!" - Find an anime that never says this! Most say it. Bleach is a good example - an anime that has no apparent end, and you see them running out of ideas in form of fillers, Naruto, Inu Yasha, and even though Detective Conan (Case Closed) was one, but had few fillers because they were all stories in themselves and most all episodes cannot be considered fillers. Men who run away from women or develop a "rash" from them just as they walk up to the guy or even talk. Anime that try to be different by creating stupid hairstyles like you find in many CG-happy RPGs now, and Bleach is again, a good example. An anime comedy that tries to be both funny and seriously romantic at the same time, it does not work! Lastly, basically what Naruto Shippuden and Bleach attempt as far as trying to be different from other anime haha. There is more, but I would have to look over all the previous anime I watched in the past. |

I hate when the Main protagonist (mainly in Shonen) tries to convince their enemy to be good and not be bad, when it never works.
I hate constant name screaming, sometimes it can be annoying ("Kurosaki-Kun!", "Naruto!", "Inuyasha!", "Eureka!" etc etc lol) I hate how the side characters/sub characters are almost never useful in an actual fight and have to wait til the main protagonist arrives to defeat the enemy I hate when the main character is the 'perfect guy' character (mainly in Shoujo)...The types who have the looks, the brains, with girls hopping all over them, they have no flaws...totally nothing unique or interesting about them (Yamato, Hibari, etc) I seriously hate long fights. A fight should take no more than 2-3 episode max, not 10-20...Short fights are much better (like the ones in Fairy Tail). Lambo from 'Reborn'...I hate everything about that character, from the voice acting to the personality and the uselessness. |

I hate it when they mix filler with cannon (they do that in Naruto). Like with Bleach atm I'm catching up and it's really easy to skip the fillers.
also when the good guy gets really badly beat up (like almost dead), they have a flashback and somehow manage to get to their feet and kill the other guy in one hit... anything that is predictable and cliche. sadly Bleach has a lot of cliches. |

I've always hated a villain or antagonist giving a huge monologue before the final fight...but that's not just in anime.

I only have a problem when the characters look all alike and you can't tell who is who, or if your watching one and they look like another anime character and then you realize your watching the wrong one

What I hate the most is when the main Guy in a anime for Example: "To Love-Ru" Rito doesn't do anything to any of the girls... But in the other hand it better because I don't want it to end up like "School Days".
