More and more people, even here in the U.S, are listening to k-pop, j-pop, etc. and not as much to American-originated bands. So the question is..which genre of bands do u like listening to more?
As for me..I'm part asian but I love American bands like paramore and panic way more than bands like big bang, super junior, etc...

I like to listen to asian bands more than american bands. To me American Bands these days are all about sex or saying cuss words all the time. Don't get me wrong though. I still love some bands like Lifehouse, Maroon 5, and All american rejects.

i think it depends what kind of music u like to listen to. i think i prefer the harder, edgier look of american rock bands as opposed to the japanese visual kei styles. i think asian pop bands are more popular in the US because they always put the cute guys together so girls tend to like that stuff. i mean i honestly couldnt say i liked any pop boy bands in the us...
and i agree with koreanhugs about the whole sex and drugs themes of music these days. not saying all songs are like that, just a lot. and asian pop has nice lyrics and meanings which are more innocent

Only time I hear someone talk about anything other then American bands is on here. Maybe because most of the population on Crunchyroll is some sort of Asian. As for me I'm Caucasian, but I listen to some Japanese bands but more American.

Asian > American.
It's cleaner .. err maybe thats because I can't understand all the words HAHA. But yeah :] And the guys are way cuter.. and the music is different from what you hear everyday. |
